Updated, Clean, Comfortable, Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay in Riomaggiore! The studio was nicely renovated, comfortable and clean. We preferred to cook our own dinners, the kitchenette had a gas stovetop (no oven), mini refrigerator, a microwave oven and all the necessary cookware/dishes/utensils. The location of the studio was excellent. Not too far up the hill and right along the main street. This added a little noise, but we enjoyed listening to the sounds of the town. The bathroom had a full size shower, which was a huge plus for us (my husband is 6'4"). Our only complaint was the mattress, it was a little hard for our liking. All in all, a great stay.

A Cinque Terre Delight!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this lovely apartment. It had an excellent location on the main street, in the center of town. The flat had so much character, with the wood beamed ceiling and original stone wall! Like staying in a piece of history! We loved leaning out the window to watch the street life below, and even hanging our laundry out the window on the lines to dry! (There is a coin launderette across the street). The flat was very clean, with all of the necessities provided for a pleasant stay. We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to explore the Cinque Terre region.

The Real Italy!

  • 5 of 5

The studio was even more appealing than the pictures, the architecture beautiful and very spacious with all the amenities needed. Everything was immaculately clean. The owner was helpful and accessible throughout the entire process and extremely hospitable with his time, lemons, wine and advice! We would highly recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives. The town was delightful and the locals friendly and interesting. The local food, hiking and views all spectacular. Our only regret was not having more time to stay here.

Absolute Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This studio apartment was all and more outstanding and would be suitable for all age groups. It also provided a very romantic feel. It was spotlessly clean and provided everything one needed for the best holiday retreat.

The studio was very comfortable for our two week stay. It was great having WiFi connenction. It may have been towards the end of the season but we found the accommodation to be very quiet for sleeping.

Although there are steps, they are easily negotiated.

Riomaggoire offers plenty of restaurants and small grocery stores for all your needs.

Would highly recommend.

Almost Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautiful. Our hosts were very helpful and gave us a welcome bottle of the local wine made by a family member. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was large. We enjoyed looking out of the windows and watching the locals and tourists go by. Our only problem was easiy solved---we could hear some outside noise even with the windows closed. However, a little white noise from the air conditioner solved that!

We stayed at Lorenz0's beautiful, clean, sparkling apartment for 7 nights in May 2013 and EVERYTHING about it was amazing. The apartment was completely new in an old building. The facilities were fantastic; bathroom, kitchen; beds, location, view, absolutely perfect. It was a great jumping off point for walking the trails to the other towns in Cinque Terre or for taking the train. The train station is a quick 5 minute walk through the tunnel. The marina is also a 5 minute walk. There are restaurants, Gelato shops, a bakery, a pharmacy and shops for groceries and souvenirs right out the front door. The windows in the apartment look out onto the main street and there is a clothesline for hanging laundry like you live there (ah, if only). The apartment has a hair dryer, iron, microwave, fridge, stove, really great shower and TV (but who has time to watch? I'd rather watch the town from our window).

The street is active with travelers, bars, shopping but it's really quiet and peaceful at night. I got 7 great nights' sleep to rest up for the hikes every day.

Lorenzo met us at the train station but the instructions to find the place were great and he provided a number we could reach him at if we had any problems. Rosa also lives in the building and was there if we needed anything.

Truly amazing area. Friendly people. Veciu Muin Restaurant up the street was very good. Wonderful food (try the foccacia at the bakery next door - yum). Spectacular views. Highly recommend an extended stay. Looking forward to the day I can get back there. Will definitely rent this apartment again. Grazie Lorenzo and Rosa!

The Cinque Terre represent one of the best preserved natural and semi-natural areas of the Mediterranean. Historical and geomorphologic reasons have forbidden excessive housing development and the creation of major roadways. Human activity and especially viticulture, have contributed to create a unique landscape in which development of the typical stone walls is so extensive as to equal that of the famous Great Wall of China. All this, combined with the characteristics of a crystal clear sea, of architecturally interesting locations, of a varied and extensive network of paths (one of the most enviable in the whole Mediterranean), makes the Cinque Terre an increasingly sought after location among Italian and foreign tourists. This is not so much the result of a successful promotional campaign but rather the spontaneous recognition of the uniqueness of the place, of its beauty, of the enjoyment one gets from staying in or visiting it.
