Our well-appointed town house is outfitted and accessorized as a vacation home for our family and yours. The home is furnished in a relaxed coastal style with tasteful accessories and all the amenities you would add to your own vacation home. We provide our family and guests with everything they need for an enjoyable, hassle-free stay. In addition to a great vacation home, you get great service directly from the owners. There is no rental agency and no quickie cleaning service. Before your arrival, we thoroughly clean the house ourselves and if there is ever a problem or complaint, we live nearby and are always available. Our first-time guests find us and book their stay through HomeAway. From then on we prefer to communicate directly with our guests. In the months prior to your arrival we will provide updates and photos of beach and marina construction; general house information, and answer any questions you may have.
The home sleeps eight comfortably and is located in The Overlook, a new, upscale community nestled along the Little Assawoman Bay in the West Fenwick area of Selbyville, Delaware. Community amenities include an expansive, new clubhouse with furnished sun room, fully equipped fitness center, large pool overlooking the bay, tiki bar, and communal fire pit. Work is well underway on a community beach and marina, a kayak and canoe launch area, and crabbing/fishing pier. These facilities are expected to be completed in the spring of 2019.
Our home is just over two miles from the Atlantic Ocean, Fenwick Island DE and Ocean City MD. Area attractions include the Delaware Seashore State Parks; Bethany Beach; Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, historic Lewes, tax-free shopping and the beaches and the beautiful beaches and wild ponies of Assateague and Chincoteague Islands are just 25 miles away.
The first floor living area of our home is a straight-through, open concept arrangement with a dining area, full kitchen and family room / sun room combination. The dining area seats six with additional seating at the center island and breakfast bar. There is a powder room off the dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cookware, dishes, glassware, and flatware you’ll need to make everything from morning coffee to evening meals. The counters are granite; the appliances stainless steel. Included are a side-by-side refrigerator, five-burner gas cook top, wall oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dish washer and garbage disposal. There is a laundry (washer and dryer) adjacent to the kitchen.
The combination family room-sun room is spacious and comfortably furnished. For entertainment there is a 50” wall-mounted, smart TV and a blue-ray player. The first floor master suite has a king size bed, dresser, mirror, two night stands, lamps, side chair, curtains and room darkening shades and a 40” wall-mounted smart TV and ceiling fan with overhead light. The adjoining master bath has a double vanity with quartz top, tiled double shower, and a large walk-in closet stocked with extra towels and toiletries.
The second floor has two bedrooms. One is furnished with a queen bed; the other with twins. Each room has curtains, room-darkening shades, a large walk-in closet, night stand with lamp, ceiling fan and overhead light. Each bedroom also has a wall mounted, smart TV. Adjacent to the bedrooms are a full bath with shower/tub combination and loft area with a swivel-rocker, occasional table with lamp, queen sleep sofa, wall-mounted, smart TV and blue ray player.
