July one month stay.

Thank you so much for this great house which we used to hang out, explore the mountains and sea. A favourite was a trip to Lake Skadar but also the daily swim at the local beach, dinner at Amfora and the kittens next door- a perfect holiday.

Lovely little house in wonderful village

  • 5 of 5

We had the most lovely stay in this house. It was well equipped, smart and quiet. It is a short walk into the lovely village with great little bars and places to hire a sunbed and sit and watch the wonderful bay. The local hotel was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as were all the bars - it isn't too expensive to eat out but the wine isn't great! We didn't bother with a car, we flew to Tivat and used the bus and local taxi firm, it made our stay very relaxing and it was fun. On the one day we wanted a big day out exploring we hired a guy with a car for the day, it all worked out better than hiring a car. Montenegro is a beautiful place and this is a very nice base to enjoy it from. Everything is simple and charming and delightful, we loved it.

Comfort in Kotor

  • 5 of 5

Me, my husband and our two boys (aged 9 and 7) had a fantastic, relaxing holiday in the Old Stone House.

The house is newly decorated, spotlessly clean and stocked with a few nice extras, such as washing up liquid, soap, DVDs and condiments that make a holiday easier.

It is a perfect base to visit the spectacular Kotor Bay. Every morning we walked the 5 minutes down to the pebble beach and swam/played in the clean water. The water is so calm it is like swimming in a pool, but with amazing views. By lunchtime it was too hot for us, so we returned to the house and relaxed. Although there is no garden, as the house is split over three floors and has 2 terraces there was plenty of room for us all to do what we wanted. At the local beach there are several bars, which can be noisy, but walking further down the beach you can find quieter areas.

The only problem we had was the the air con in the upper bedroom at night. We passed this info onto Michael who said he would look into it.

We did hire a car but kept local, for the more adventurous there are lots of roads hanging to the edge of mountains to investigate!

Kotor is a must, it is beautiful and a great place to eat, but busy when the cruise ships are in port. There are also several lovely villages which are easy to get to and worth a visit, but the beauty of this area is that it is undeveloped and still seems pleasantly uncommercial.

Michael was really helpful and supplied us with lots of info on the house and the area before we arrived.

I would certainly recommend this house as a holiday location.

Stunning Old stone House - ITS TRUE

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an exceptional 12 days sun, sea, sight seeing and great foods. The Montenegro people are warm and friendly. The old stone house was truely great and private and as they said just 2 to 3 minutes walk to a lovely beach with quaint beach bars and restaurants. We found the area relaxing. To top it all their agent ANKA who greeted us proved to be so helpful and she told us of many places to visit. We intend to go back to this great country and old stone house in 2010.

Our Amazing Late Summer Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Me an my girlriend decided to go on a late summer holiday. We had worked

all summer and I had just graduated. We wanted to go somewhere peacefull

and have a relaxing vacation for ourselfs. Montenegro was a place I never really heard much about before, but I was tipsed by some close friends about this small but beautiful country.

This house is located in a little village about 10min from Kotor by car. The landscape views from the balcony and bedrooms are very pictoresque. Reminds me a lot of some parts of my home country norway. And although we went there a bit off season, in the beginning of October, it was still warm

and nice. We went to the village beach almost every day. A 5 min walk from the house. No other tourists were to be seen, just a few friendly sunbathing locals. The beaches in the area are all pebble beaches, my favourite kind, because they seem to clean themselfs;) (can't stand filthy beaches)

Although the locals told us the water was a tad chilly, and seldom ventured

into it, us northeners found it just right, and swam a lot.

The house was also perfectly clean and accurate regarding the description in the add. The front patio is huge, and we enjoyed eating our self prepared lunches there. We went grocary shopping on the market in Kotor. The locals are selling fresh fish and vegetables there, and its a great place to get ingredients, but remeber to haggle on the price or else they will cheat you. We ended upp paying 9euros for a small piece of cheese and two tomatos once :D

The owners are also very friendly and helpfull. They are brits so we communicated through email and phone. They have an agent in Montenegro that take care of things there.

I have allready recomended this propert to friends and family. Its a very nice house located in beautiful surroundings. Ideal for people that want to avoid the typical touristy locations. The area has plenty of attractions. Beautiful villages, and the fairy tale walled town of Kotor, with loads of restaurants and cafes.

We had a great 10 days there, and hope to come back one day.

Une maison agréable et très bien située

  • 4 of 5
