Four, 2 bedroom houses in Batheaston with good acces into Bath centre

.The Malthouse comprises of three luxury 4 star holiday homes located in the village of Batheaston just two miles from the centre of Bath. House Two and House Three have one master bedroom with ensuite, a single bedroom, House One and House Four have 2 double bedrooms. Each house has its own parking space if you wish to drive, if not there is a bus stop about 50 yards away with a regular bus service into Bath running every 10 minutes.

The houses consist of open plan kitchen and living areas original beams and vaulted ceilings and feature stone walls . The kitchens are fully integrated with all appliances, breakfast bar and ample work surfaces. The lounges are set within a beautiful vaulted barn style ceiling with subtle lighting and wooden floors.

We provide luxury bedding and towels to each bedroom, ensuite shower room and family bathrooms are fully tiled with all modern fittings including over bath shower and enclosure.

Brilliant place to stay

This was a brilliant place to stay. It was very well equipped, warm and comfortable. A lot of thought had gone into the décor and the furnishings. The location was very convenient with a bus stop into Bath 100m from the cottage and access to main roads out of Bath. There was allocated parking for one car which saved having to find somewhere locally. The owners responded quickly to queries. There was information in the cottage about local attractions and a helpful visitors book.

Great base to explore the area from.

Clean and tidy place. Access into Bath by bus very easy from the end of the drive on the right. Would definitely stay there again! :-)

Spotless, comfortable cottage in superb location for tourism into Bath

The booking and entry into the property were faultless. We were greeted with a few home comforts and the beds were ready made. The cottage was cleaned to my high standards and was just adorable for our three night stay. My mother & I were staying to explore Bath and were very happy with buses into city, the parking at the property & the local area. (Which we explored and was beautiful) The kitchen was of a high standard and the space available would easily be sufficient for a family of four. David provided all of the information needed to make us feel safe and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would 100% recommend to family and friends, I have done so already!!

Excellent accommodation, highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed at the Malthouse No2 for three nights over New Year 2010. We wanted a quiet break to relax and unwind, and we couldn’t have chosen more perfect accommodation!

Firstly, the property really is beautiful (especially the gorgeous high-beamed upstairs living area) and delivered absolutely everything it advertised. In contrast to the slightly rustic exterior, the interior is extremely contemporary, with every mod-con you could want (dishwasher, Freeview TV, DVD player etc). The open-plan living area, complete with comfy leather sofa and dining table, is large and spacious, and the main bedroom is a good size.

The standard of the furnishings and general fixtures (shower and bathroom for example) was excellent and as for cleanliness – it was immaculate!

We drove from London and had no problem reaching the location from the directions provided – just 10 minutes from Bath. The owners, David and Terri, left a welcoming pack of milk, bread, biscuits and a bottle of wine (the staples!) for our arrival and even gave us a quick text mid-break to ensure everything was ok. All our dealings with the owners from booking to departure were professional, friendly and straightforward. So, their customer service can’t be faulted.

The village, Batheaston, is very quiet and there really isn’t anything to entertain you there. But Bath is a short drive/bus ride away and offered everything we wanted in the way of shops and restaurants. We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Pump Rooms and really enjoyed our few hours at the Thermae Spa, with its heated open-pool overlooking the city (if you get a chance, go in the evening when it’s lit-up).

We would definitely recommend the Malthouse No2 to friends, family and anyone wanting a quiet break at a lovely location. We would happily return in the future.

lucky find

We have spent two Christmases at the Malt house.

A brilliant find 2 years ago when we wanted to get away from it all.

Just right for Christmas shopping. Great to walk along the canal, past the George and the great view of the weir and the house boats.Easy to return on the no.13 bus with no need to worry about parking.

Excellent furnishings, great lounge and kitchen. Spotlessly clean.

Nothing was too much trouble and the Christmas tree was a lovely touch.Wine to greet you after your journey. Real home from home.

We are returning again in 2011 with friends!

Bath as lovely as ever.

The location of the Malthouse makes it a great base to explore all the surrounding areas. The roman city of Bath has been designated as a World Heritage Site, with many fascinating historical sites to be seen, some dating back as far as the first century. The world famous roman baths are not one to be missed. As Well as its history Bath has an abundance of designer shops and boutiques, with a wide and varied choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs. Bath City Centre is two miles away, with a regular bus every ten minutes.
