About Lana Thorne

We live and work in England in the heart of the Lake District with our two teenage children.

After some fifteen years in Hotel management around the world we started our own business by purchasing the renowned 16th century Inn at Grasmere -The Travellers Rest.

Some years later we acquired the Kings Head at Thirlmere, Sweeneys bar and Restaurant in Keswick, The Lodge in the vale and holiday homes in Grasmere, Keswick, and Ambleside.

Lana Thorne purchased this villa in 2011

Why Lana Thorne chose Lycian & Turquoise Coast

Sailing in the Lake district is very popular with visitors and locals alike. It is this family activity that took us to Turkey some ten years ago and we fell in love with this fascinating country. After many return visits to Turkey for both relaxing and activity holidays, we discovered Kalkan and decided to purchase off plan Infinity View.

we have travelled and sailed all over Turkey, but decided to choose Kalkan as a permanent base because it has something for everyone and is our favourite place by far.

What makes this villa unique

Infinity view commands superb uninterrupted views out to sea , mouse and snake Islands from all rooms, infinity pool , patio and terraces.

The villa is part of a small exclusive quality development with a friendly clubhouse bar and restaurant looking onto the large Infinity pool out to sea .

Infinity view is only a five minute drive from into Kalkan and fifteen minutes to the famous Patara Beach. It is great to hire a car and explore the surrounding areas, or alternatively use our friendly resort taxi driver.

Nowhere could we find a location that combines all our requirements, convenient, yet far enough away from the bustling town to provide a peaceful retreat.

Infinity view is enjoyed by ourselves, family and friends, but we are happy to share our second home in this most beautiful place.

Guestbook comments from the manager

“A view that got better every day”

Reviewed November 2, 2012

When we arrived at Infinity View, we were immediately impressed by the standard of the finish of the villa, the choice of furnishings and the stunning pool area. However I always think that the test of a truly great villa is not just a good first impression, but if it grows on you over a period of days . Infinity View did just that and we particularly loved sitting on the hammock gazing at the view, especially first thing in the morning when tiny little birds would swoop over and around the villa, garden and pool. The holiday provided a really welcome respite and was incredibly relaxing. It was hard to tear ourselves away and we did not do that much local exploring. Kalkan was a great base and we had a lovely evening boat trip with Deniz. On our last day, our flight was not until the evening. However the management let us stay an extra hour in the villa and then we decamped to the resort pool and bar. They made us feel so welcome that a day that we thought would drag, flew past making it very hard to leave. Can highly recommend the complex, villa and area for a lovely holiday.

Wonderful Villa and Kalkan

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in August 2011. The villa was very comfortable, the views amazing and the weather hot. The Villa also has a wonderful pool where we spent many relaxing hours. Kalkan itself is the perfect holiday location. Every evening was spent exploring the wonderful boutiques and eating on restaurant rooftops. The food was delicious, we never had a bad meal and all the locals so friendly. We used the airport taxi provided by the villa owners and everyone was very punctual and polite. The staff at the resort were also very helpful. We would love to go back. We have two teenage children who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Great Villa, Great Holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a couple of weeks at Infinity Villa and enjoyed every minute!

The villa was perfect for our family's needs. Spacious, well appointed, great beds and well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and outside areas. Great pool! Check out the view - a wonderful place to relax, dine and soak up the sun.

Kalkan town is just down the road, and is really welcoming - great for kids and adults alike and a great mix of old world and contemporary chic.

If you want a peaceful, relaxing location, this is a great base for a holiday in Turkey.

Many thanks to the owners - great help from start to finish and their on site staff were great too.

This exclusive luxury Complex nestles on the hillside over the Bay surrounded by ancient olive trees, with panoramic sea and mountain views. Five minute drive from Kalkan town centre, fifteen minute drive to the world renowned Patara beach.

Kalkan remains unspoilt by mass tourism. It Is renowned for its turquoise clear blue sea, world class beaches, ancient history and architecture. Above all it is loved for its fine restaurants and warm traditional Turkish hospitality.

Kalkan offers something for everyone, be it lazing by the pool, soaking up the sun or visiting the therapeutic Haman. For those seeking active adventure, sailing, scuba diving, mountain biking and trekking along the famous Lycian way, exploring the ancient Ottoman architecture or Saklikent deep gorge.

The nightlife in Kalkan is fun, but laid back and peaceful. Kalkan is well known for its roof top restaurants and bars looking out over the town and sea dining under the stars. It offers both local simple inexpensive dining to high European cuisine.

Infinity View is situated in the La Vanta village, overlooking Kalkan a five minute drive away. The villa enjoys stunning uninterrupted views out to sea nestling in the Olive groves surrounded by the mountains. This luxury villa is part of a quality development which is unquestionably one of the best in Kalkan.

The local Market is Thursday and well worth a visit. It sells predominantly village produce but there are also bargains to be had in spices and clothing. Delicious pancakes are cooked to order and fresh oranges squeezed for delicious juice.

Narrow streets twist down to the harbour. White washed shuttered villas covered in Bougainvillea and carved timber balconies nestle amongst the restaurants and bars.

Kalkan is famous for its roof top restaurants dining under the stars looking out to sea. Drinks can be enjoyed in traditional floor lined cushioned seating under Ottoman lighting.

Fishing boats return with the days catch and can be watched from the harbour side restaurants and the delicious fish enjoyed.

Informal cafes offer fresh simple reasonably priced Turkish dishes alongside fine European cuisine.
