Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, just off the Royal Mile this home from home is a light and airy period property. It offers unrivalled access to all that Edinburgh has to offer: among others, the Castle, the Palace, John Knox’s House, St Giles' Cathedral and the Scottish Parliament are all within easy walking distance. There are some great bars and restaurants in the area but, if you want to dine at home, the flat boasts a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a home cooked meal.
St Mary's Street: St Mary's Street has two award winning restaurants, Empires, a warm and inviting Turkish haven and Stac Polly, a beautifully decorated dining room serving exquisitely prepared Scottish delights. And local pubs the Waverley and the World’s End each have bags of character. There are supermarkets in the area but the closest grocery shop is just at the end of the road on the Royal Mile.
Beaches: Edinburgh’s closest beach is at Portobello, a 10-minute drive from the centre. A little further afield, within a 20-minute drive you will find Seton Sands and further still (40-minute drive) Aberdour's Silver Sands (my favourite beach in the area). The East Coast, within a 30-minute drive towards North Berwick, also has beautiful beaches to explore
Golf facilities: The home of golf, St Andrew's is a 90-minute drive away and well whether a visit whether you are a golf enthusiast or not. The golf course and University are world famous and the beaches are beautiful.

Great location, however apartment a little dated
Stayed here march 2018 a great location with a great host who let us check in early
Apartment has everything you need just a little dated but would stay here again if available
Only downside is the £150 returnable deposit which took over a week to pay back which I can't quite understand
If your visiting Edinburgh then I would highly recommend this place
Perfect location very close to train station and ideally placed to get to most places in Edinburgh on foot
The flat was even better than what we were expecting. We have everything we need and instant answer from the owner (it makes our stay easier). The location is absolutely perfect, in the city centre but at the same time inside a quite street. So you don't have to be worry about the noise. If I have to visit Edinburgh again I will choose this flat without hesitate.
Great location and clean.
Amazing location although being so central does mean the front bedroom is noisy. Apartment was clean and there were clear instructions re the heating etc. Sofa bed was surprisingly comfy!
Great centrally located property
Flat is very centrally located, a minute's walk from the royal mile. It's very spacious and was clean, well equipped and as described. The information supplied ahead of and during our stay was complete and helpful (directions, restaurant recommendations, etc). Noise from the road outside was noticeable in the front rooms, but was not loud enough to impact sleep, and had to be expected in a city centre main road. The bedroom at the back was very quiet as was the building as a whole. We would definitely recommend.
Close to the Royal Mile. Plenty of space to sleep. The one bedroom does front a busy road so road noise while you sleep can be an issue. Easy check in. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Additional pricing information
We charge between £10-£40 pounds extra for large groups (5 guests or more) to cover the additional costs of cleaning and maintenance. Cash only if paying on arrival date. Bank transfer or cheques accepted if paying before arrival date. Please note late check-ins after 10pm and early check-outs before 8am will carry a surcharge of £20. The booking deposit (25% of the total due) is 75% refunded 30 days or more before your date of entry in case of cancellation (with 25% forfeited to cover administrative costs).
