This Victorian apartment in the heart of London's historic Kew Village is 2 Minutes from Kew Gardens

-Underground and Overland trains (metro/subway) are 100 metres away, and buses to Central, North and West London are just around the corner.

-The apartment also has super-fast (fibre optic), unlimited internet at no extra cost.

-Enjoy a village atmosphere with local shops, restaurants and pubs with excellent transport links to all the main tourist attractions.

-Family size (200 sq m) with original features and high ceilings, the apartment forms part of a Victorian Parade in Kew Village, minutes away from Kew's Royal Botanical Gardens and the National Archives (public records office).

-The accommodation comprises 3 large double bedrooms, with a playroom on the top floor serving as a 4th double bedroom when required. Two further bathrooms and large double aspect lounge and dining room make this an ideal property for families, groups or corporate lets.

- A front balcony and large sash windows offer elevated views of the village while the large, well-equipped kitchen has French doors onto a sunny south facing balcony.

-Kew Retail Park: Kew Retail Park is a 10 minute walk from the property. Numerous retail outlets include Mothercare, Marks and Spencer, GAP, Next, TK Max, and Boots.

-Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, 200 metre walk: A World Heritage Site, the Gardens cover over 300 acres (120ha) of land and splendid glasshouses contain over 40,000 species of plant life and 9,000 trees. Kew is not only a beautiful place to visit but functions as a botanical research centre and maintains the largest plant collection in the world. We love these gardens and go almost daily as they are such a short walk away. We recommend that if you plan to visit more than three times during your stay you buy an annual pass, costing less than the price of three visits. In December and January an ice skating rink is open in front of the Temperate House and in July a series of summer swing outdoor concerts are held in the evenings followed by spectacular fireworks displays.

-Kew Gardens Station: This is the attractive main station for visitors to Kew Gardens, as well as serving the well-to-do suburbs of Kew itself, and the National Archive 10 minutes walk away. It is served by both the Richmond branch of the District Line and the North London Line, now called the London Overground.

-Kew is located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The River Thames runs through the heart of the borough for 21 miles linking Hampton Court Palace, Richmond town centre and Kew Gardens with central London. The river is a great way to see many of the attractions in the area including Marble Hill House, Ham House and Hampton Court Palace, or head east to Westminster, the Tower of London and Greenwich.

-Whether you like history & heritage, dining, shopping and theatre, walking, playing about on the river, or watching world class sport, Richmond upon Thames has something for everyone.

For me Kew is a very special part of London. It combines that very English village feeling with a European town square atmosphere. Great to have access to Kew Gardens and station, the Thames river, plenty of English pubs and restuarants, coffee shops, wine shops and mini supermarket, all just steps away.

What makes this apartment unique

It's always great at any time of day to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the village with a cup of tea, and watch the world going by.

Parade View is a short walk to Restaurants, English Pubs, Coffee shops including Starbucks, Pizza Express, supermarket, Metro/ Underground, Kew Gardens and the Thames River. Kew is one Metro stop each way from the wonderful high streets of Richmond and Chiswick, with their great shops. There are also some delightful restaurants down Sandycombe Road, a 200 metre walk from the village. Be sure to visit Kew Gardens during your stay. For families with young children, Climbers and Creepers' is the ideal spot. For older children and located outside Climbers and Creepers you'll find Treehouse Towers. Kids can climb up ladders, clamber across rope bridges and slide their way down from the three towers. Each tower varies in height, and as children scale between them they’ll find each one more of a challenge.

Nice location and plenty of room

This property is exactly as advertised. There was plenty of space to accommodate our party of 5 adults and 2 children. The home was clean and ready on arrival and the directions and information supplied ahead of time were excellent. Communication with the owner was flawless. It is a quick and easy walk to public transportation. Thank you for a wonderful stay! There apartment has lots of narrow stairs which was fine for us, and we were aware of the stairs from the reviews and description. But it is a consideration for anyone with members who would find climbing difficult.

Very nice apartment in Kew Village convenient to shops and transportation

Stayed for 5 nights in the apartment and enjoyed our time very much. 2 of the bedrooms are wonderful. The third is fine but has the stairs up to the fourth bedroom area in it so not much privacy. Very roomy living and dining area with a smaller dining area in kitchen itself. There are lots of stairs and levels so may be difficult if elderly. Otherwise, very clean, comfortable and nice location. Shop for grocery items, nice pub and underground station all steps away from the apartment. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Fantastic apartment with an excellent location.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights and could not fault it in any way. Libby provided all the information we needed ahead of our stay and was easy to correspond with. The apartment does have a lot of stairs however this was not an issue to us although we were 7 adults ranging in age from 30 years to 78 years. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could possibly want or need on holiday. The location is excellent for visiting London, Richmond or spending time in Kew itself with a number of pubs and eating places in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. Overall an excellent experience and we would look to return in the future.

Ideal family stay: highly recommended

Advance information was very clear and helpful, which helped a lot with arrival, the actual stay and our departure. There was enough space for three generations to enjoy being together and exploring the area. Proximity to the station and buses was invaluable. We would stay here again together very happily, especially with the bonus of the Sunday market, a range of local restaurants and, of course, Kew Gardens, (as well as to Thames walks and access to Central London by boat.) Highly recommended.

Great accomodations in an area full of character!

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Kew Gardens and found the townhouse just right for our group. The property was very clean, with comfortable beds, and plenty of kitchen gear for cooking and serving everyone. Libby was very responsive to our couple of questions and we wished we would have gotten a chance to meet in person. My teenage boys loved the upstairs bedroom and the front deck, which was great for people watching. If you want a nice place close to the Kew Gardens (which were marvelous!), I would definitely recommend Libby's townhouse.

The Perfect Location to Stay around London

Before I mention the property, I have to say how fantastic Libby was in giving us all of the information that we asked for and plenty of other information regarding transportation, parking, restaurants and shops in the area. As for the property and location, it was perfect for 6 of us staying there. As Libby had mentioned, there were so many opportunities to enjoy the restaurants, cafes and other stores that are within a few minutes walk. The Kew station is at the end of the road (also a minute or two away) and had a really friendly bar/restaurant that was always full of happy patrons...us included. Richmond is just one stop away and also has some great restaurants. I must admit that it takes a while via the train to get into London...perhaps 30 or 40 minutes, depending where you want to go but it never seemed to be a problem and it was a relaxing trip both directions and the big plus is that you aren't in the thick of London activity...which isn't bad at all...but so nice to get away from at the end of the day. The rental property is just perfect with plenty of bedrooms and a huge amount of space in general. The bathrooms/toilets/showers can be a tad strange if you are picky about that sort of thing but the 6 of us weren't and all went perfect. We all managed to get cleaned up and never had to fight to have a toilet. We just loved Kew and the beautiful Botanical Gardens....don't miss them if you go there. Frankly, we couldn't have been happier and Libby is a superb hostess. I'm not going to say any more as I want anyone that is reading this to experience what we did....well, only during the dates that we don't want to be there again. By the way, if you do choose this property, treat it well as if it were your own so that everyone else, including the owner, can enjoy it. Thanks Libby for your wonderful hospitality.

Twickenham Stadium 3 miles, Wimbledon tennis an easy train journey. Kew Village shops and services include supermarkets, off-licence/liquor stores, post office, pharmacies, laundrette, dry cleaners, bank and cash machines, Starbucks and other cafes, pubs and award winning restaurants. The property is a 5 minute walk to Kew Royal Botanical Gardens. A 10 min stroll takes you to Kew Green and its English pubs and fine restaurants, the National Archives and to the Kew Retail Park.
