This two story house has a laid back lodge feel. The original owners built this house using trees that came out of the river (as you will see in the pictures) that adds to the rustic feel of the four open ceiling bedrooms upstairs. This charming home has plenty of room for up to 12 people if the large sofa is used for sleeping as well. There is a queen size bed located down stairs for anyone that may have issues with climbing stairs. There is also a bath on both levels. the bath down stairs also has access to the river so that you don't have to necessarily go through the house to get to it. We also offer the use of two kayaks to enjoy the exploration of nooks and cranny's of the river. Plenty of local restaurants in town, however the kitchen is ready for you to cook if you prefer. we provide linens, and towels, but you may want to bring extra towels if you plan to swim often.

Kid friendly clean quiet & relaxing!
We will definitely be coming back! Perfect swimming area for the young ones and the adults loved swimming to the rock in middle of the river. House was very accommodating. We all enjoyed the paddle boat very much. Fishing off the dock was plentiful. Donna treated us with a basket of goodies and was pleasant to deal with. Love love love this treasure of a spot!
It was great having you all. Looking forward to having you back. Thank you so much for the review.
Beautiful! Clean! Fresh fruit and banana bread left in a basket for us! Plenty of room! Quiet! Relaxing!! Love it!!! I would love to come back next year! My son got to catch little fish off the dock and we got to see a bunch of otters swimming and eating!
The house is conveniently located, we were provided with a basket of fruits. It was well equipped with kitchen utensils. You can bring your own tubes and jump from the house to the bridge (About 1 hour and half).
I would suggest the owner to install fans as other tenant suggested for the noise (You can hear everything in this house) "Cabin Style".
Thank You Donna !
It was a nice place to stay a few day.. the location is the greatest about it!
The kitchen is date you can see that a lots of the cabinet glasses silverware pot and pants are all and nothing match it almost like everything came from a yard sale. Refrigerator was small for 8 people and one bed is in the living.. But the location is great
Hi Anonymous, The house dishes, pots and pans don't match, as we have added to the collection at different times over the years. It never occurred to us that with all the beauty of the river in the back yard someone would need the dishes to match. When ever we use it we mostly use paper products anyway. Who wants to wash dishes on vacation? LOL Sorry you didn't enjoy the knotty pine cabinets. We just couldn't bare to rip out the beautiful craftsmanship of the solid wood cabinets when we remodeled the kitchen. As you could tell the island we put in are modern cabinets and not nearly the same quality as the original cabinets. That's why I've posted so many pictures, because I want people to know what they are getting. We did put a bed down stairs for anyone that may have a difficult time climbing stairs. ( like my mother) We also put up dividing curtains to offer some privacy around the down stairs bed. Thanks again for staying with us. We appreciate the input you have given us as we are constantly trying to improve the quality of our guest stay. We are very glad you enjoyed the beautiful Rainbow River in the back yard.
Donna your house is truly amazing!
It has the cabin feel to it on the inside and being right on the river just capped it off! Our kids had so much fun running around, playing and fishing off of the dock. At night the fire pit served its purpose. We were able to go kayaking on the river a little each day and luckily mother nature was on our side the majority of he weekend and just kept it overcast instead of raining all weekend like the weather originally called for. The paddle boat was broken but it was ok as we kept busy and didn't need it. We were not far from the rainbow springs swimming spring and shopping was minutes away. Although everything was fairly close the location of the house made it feel like we were forever away from the city lights. Our first night we got to see otters playing in the river which my oldest son loved! I think our only issue was the size of the refrigerator compared to the amount of people we had. We definitely needed more room for food but other than that we all enjoyed our time so much. Thank you again!
So glad you had a good time and the weather cooperated for you guys. Unfortunately the vintage kitchen cabinets won't allow for a larger refrigerator, unless you block the window ( not a good look. LOL. ) Most people book for a period of three days and find the fridge adequate. A lot of people bring coolers and keep them on the back porch. Thanks for bringing this up for future guest to be informed. Hope to see you guys again in the future.
Not worth the price...open “ceilings” = open walls
Open ceilings = open walls in all four bedrooms upstairs. Walls go 8 feet up but not all the way to the ceiling. Sound travels through the entire house.
Paddle boat listed available for use had spiders and spider eggs all over it. Spent
an hour cleaning it only for it not to work.
Large spiders came out of shower drain downstairs. Drain is open PVC pipe.
Way overpriced and did not meet expectations for what’s listed. Booked for a week and left after two nights.
Katrina, again I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. I wish you had let me know the problems during your stay. The drain cover was a 3 minuet fix, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I'm also sorry you didn't understand that when I posted "OPEN CEILINGS" in the 4 upstairs bedrooms, lends to the "lodge" feel of this home in the description of the home, meant just that, open ceilings. The paddle boat was probably covered in snail eggs not spider eggs. I'm sorry you weren't able to use it but, I am happy you still had access to the two brand new Kayaks this home offers. This home is located right on the Beautiful Rainbow River, and with all that beauty does come things like spiders, snakes, etc. (We maintain monthly pest control for the home.) It also includes things like Egrets, otters, deer, turkey, fish, turtles, etc. For most more than an even trade off. I'm also sorry the "BABY NOISES" you described from the infant that was in your party kept you all from sleeping. So happy I'm past that point in my life. LOL. As you can tell by the other reviews. We strive to make our guest comfortable, and usually are very successful. Sorry I didn't get the opportunity to make this right for you.
