About the property

This is my primary residence, so please treat it as if it were your own. A completely renovated 70's ranch-style house (3/2, ~2500 sq ft) in an nice neighborhood where I know the neighbors well. and though it is only 10 min from Austin's bustling downtown scene, the house is my quiet and comfortable sanctuary.

I've retained the open, ranch-style feel of this house while updating it. All stainless steel kitchen with retro robins egg blue vinyl tile floors, white quartz stone counter tops and beautiful glass & marble mosaic tile back splash. The guest bath has been updated with dark green granite and chrome fixtures installed(URL HIDDEN)There are bus stops within a block, the nearest light rail station is just 2.5 miles and there is a grocer within walking distance.

In the past, interaction with the guests have ranged from just meeting/welcoming them to nights out on the town... really depends on the guest's desires.

Quiet and secure neighborhood with easy access to 3 of the 4 main traffic veins in Austin.

As noted, I am a dog lover and owner. During your stay, you may see Samson & Delilah- my 2 rescue mixed breeds ( Blue Healer/ Black Lab / & Bisinge ? . They're very people friendly , if not over friendly; however they can be territorial towards other dogs (it is after all their house:) they'll stay in the side yard [dog yard] and the garage. My work often requires me to travel, but If I'm in town during your visit, I may be be residing in a restored vintage camper trailer located in the dog yard. To be clear, if you reserve the house, all but the garage and the camper trailer is available to you.

A wonderful home, comfortably located near almost everything

Stayed here for a cousin's wedding with 9 adults and 2 babies and could not have been more comfortable. John, the host, is an excellent one and made sure that we were well taken care of and was always a message away whenever needed. This home is amazing, with everything necessary for large families to perfectly enjoy.

This home felt central to everything we wanted to do, be it visiting the UT campus or enjoying some of Austin's excellent food options, nothing was more than 20 minutes away. I also felt incredibly safe as the neighborhood this home is located in is an excellent one, and John has a camera set up outside for his guest's safety.

The only downside to this home is that the air conditioning did not go low enough as we were staying here in August and while the first night was perfect, our second one just felt much warmer than the previous.

Would absolutely stay here again, though, and I highly recommend anyone else thinking about it to do the same.
