Our cozy clean 2 br. 1 bath, sleeps 6 is a perfect relaxing get away from the city.
In just over three hours from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas you can be in paradise and enjoying one of the best views of the Lake from the deck of our cabin.
If you are looking for a quiet getaway and like to fish, Panguitch Lake is the place to be. If you don't fish there are lots of things to occupy your time. Bryce Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Brian Head Ski Resort, Duck Creek, Mammoth Creek, Cedar Breaks, Navajo Lake, and Aspen Mirror Lake are all within an hour or less drive. Boat rentals are available at the lake. An abundance of ATV trails, horseback riding, hiking, bird watching (keep a look out for the bald eagle), and wildlife viewing, or just curl up with a good book on the deck. If you are there on moonless nights the sky is full of stars and is quite spectacular.
If you don't want to cook there are restaurants near by or in the town of Panguitch. The General Store is close by if you need any supplies with a quaint gift shop upstairs. Duck Creek has pizza, lattes and shopping. There is mountain biking at the Brian Head Ski Resort where you can take the ski lifts up and bike down the mountian or snow ski in the winter. Enjoy antique shopping in the towns of Panguitch and Cedar. There is year round access.
Whatever your desire, this vacation spot has something for everyone. Come visit. Come relax. Come have some fun.
A wonderful place to rest and yet close enough to Bryce and Zion national parks. The cabin met all our needs. We would go back
We had a great time in Panguitch Lake, the cabin was very nice and organized as for clean , when we arrived the kitchen counter and in some of the drawers and cabinets had mice feces which took my wife and girlfriend some time to clean, other than that we had no other issues. Thanks for allowing us to rent your cabin and possibly next time.
Place was ok. A little run down but what we expected of a cabin. There was a mouse running around in the family room. Nice view,
Although this ranking shows 3 stars, I rate this stay 3.5 stars which is still above average! I try to keep it real when writing reviews, so future guests can have a realistic expectation when they arrive. No sugar coating here, and no un-necessary bashing either. First, let me say that Terri is great! She was very good about staying in touch with us and answering any of our questions. Our stay was very enjoyable and we especially appreciated being able to bring our pet. Thanks Terri!
So the cabin...much larger than expected with plenty of room for three adults, two kids and a dog. Loved the large kitchen with all that counter top space and full size refrigerator; the large stove and plenty of pots and pans (could use a large stock pot); the fact that other guests (I assume) have left spices; the view from the deck. Beds were comfortable and rooms were good size. TV was nice too. The not so lovely aspects: The hill is VERY steep and there is not a lot of maneuvering at the top. If you are pulling any kind of trailer, be aware of this as you will have your work cut out for you. The weather was so nice we wanted to let the air in but we couldn't open the doors due to bad/no window screens (which you definitely need due to the mosquitoes, bees, flying ants, gnats). The floors didn't feel as though they had been vacuumed, small rocks, etc. There is some major unevenness going on with the floors. Not a huge issue but, when you nearly trip a few times, it distracts from the experience as a whole. The outdoor furniture is more comfortable than the indoor furniture. That is probably my lease favorite aspect of this home. This was not exactly a cheap stay here, over $800 for three nights; I would expect some reasonably comfortable furniture.
Suggestions: Get a bug Zapper for the deck. Get some better sofa sleepers. A few more blankets/quilts for the place. Put window screens on the doors and windows. Get some Scotch-Brite sponges and wash clothes for the kitchen.
Conclusion: This was a very nice alternative to the other options; Blue Springs Lodge, Panguitch Lake Adventure Resort (ick!) or tents. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here, just expected a little more bang for the buck. I do recommend this cabin and may consider staying again. I feel that this was a slightly above average cabin home in a beautiful setting. Kind of evens it out.
Our second time staying here and we'll be back again next summer. Super clean well equiped place - they even have boxes of tissues set out and high end TP (greatly appreciated). Great lake view from the spacious deck with a BBQ (they even think to provide an extra propane tank).
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin with a great view from the deck. First time we have ever had to supply bedding and towels with a rental which we found a little odd. Otherwise the cabin is pretty well equipped and clean. Trout fishing in the lake is quite good if you rent a boat and get out to deeper water.
