Wonderful

We enjoyed our time and the serenity the grounds provide. Our family had a wonderful time in the nearby towns and artist communities. We are great full we got a chance to stay here instead of a hotel.

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE! Beautiful property and a fantastic amount of space for the price!

  • 5 of 5

As a large family, we were able to stay in this home for a one night stop at the same price as two basic motel rooms, and received so, so much more. The waterfall and old Mill area immediately behind the house is gorgeous, more like something you'd see as a state park attraction than at a private residence. We really enjoyed the historic feel of the home, all of the vintage furniture and thoughtful decorating with antiques were a lovely step back in time. The kids loved the attic game and TV room space, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. It was very clear that a tremendous amount of thought and effort were invested into restoring this property and we were very grateful to have been able to partake in the beautiful outcome of that effort!

Farm life at it's best!

  • 5 of 5

Patty and Phil are most accommodating. We were cheerfully and quickly helped with a problem we had. The property is magnificent! I wanted to spend my days right by the creek. It was stunning!! VRBO at it's best. One comment though, all bedrooms are on the second floor. I'm sure I missed that in the description. They were very, very, beautiful, however. Thanks for the great stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely house, beautiful property-- the perfect escape with easy access to regional parks

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here! Our plans meant that we didn't actually spend much time on the property (we were in the park hiking or climbing) but we wish we had more time to spend there! We'll certainly be back, availability and schedules allowing. The house is a beautifully restored historical farm house and while very comfortable with all the modern amenities it oozes history. The grounds are idyllic, with a creek and small falls with stone patio and bridge and stone foundations/ruins of an earlier house(mill?). Opening the window in the kitchen/dining area you can hear the creek. Plenty of space and comfort for all of us. Also with easy access to the regional parks. We cooked dinner for ourselves and found everything we needed in the kitchen (or large dining room-- utensils are there).
