We were in town for the Hooley Pub Crawl and since there were 3 couples, we decided to rent a house. I am so glad we rented this house, we really enjoyed our time here. We spent much more time at the house than we did going out to the pubs. I would recommend this house if you are going to the Cumberland area. We will stay here again when we are in the area.
Well maintained, clean easy to be in
Well maintained older home, plenty of room, clean. Very few lamps which limits cozy reading spaces but overhead lighting is plentiful. Easy in and out always felt safe and secure. Beautiful old churches and buildings but did not find an area of cute shops as we had hoped. Lots of outdoors activities and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful for drives in the country. Overall pleasant experience
Great hideaway in Cumberland
The boys and I started the C&O Canal ride from Cumberland and found this house for the night before. The house was tidy, clean, and had all the mod cons. Being able to store our bikes in the house was great, and getting in and out easy. The close proximity to town made for easy trips for dinner and breakfast. A real bonus was the hot tub out back, which we enjoyed.
Very nice old house.
We loved staying in this quaint house on a quiet street near downtown.
the property is beautiful it is close to everthing walking distance to downtown there are many activities and adventures to go on around the local area and breath taking scenery
Clean, Cozy & a short walk to restaurants & shops
As soon as we walked in the home, it felt very welcoming. The house has all of the comforts of home and it was easy to get settled in. Heidi & Matt were very helpful, providing us with all of the information we needed to enjoy our stay.
The bed in the Master bedroom was very comfy, and this home could easily accommodate a family, with a total of 5 beds!!
Lots of great restaurants nearby. And a lovely pedestrian only shopping street to wander and explore.
So many trails in the area, including the canal trail. We spent a day visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright homes in nearby Mill Run (definitely worth the drive, be sure to make reservations).
We tried the frozen custard at the Queen City Creamery, the food was really good at the Crabby Pig (next to the Canal), and Mark's place was great for breakfast (I'm sure all of Heidi & Matt's recommendations would be fabulous :)
This is a great spot to stay, especially for outdoor lovers who want to enjoy time outside and leave the car behind to walk to dinner.
