Beautiful paradise Palm Desert,SUN CITY by Del Webb home, pool exquisite piano design 6 ft deep end, gentle slope very safe for non swimmers, hot tub big hit for our family . Lovely water churning actions, two settings manual. A dream soaker if ever there was one. Was amazingly quiet , the high wall eliminates every sound, the front yard patio was our mornings favourite place. We were able to rent a golf cart inexpensively. Cart was great for traveling to Shopping Centre where Sun Residents have private entrance gate. We would return via green belt pathways to the home. A lovely treat. We think will book again next year and stay longer.

We rented for two months to get a taste of desert living. Barry worked with us on dates to maximize our available time in the Coachella Valley. The home is very well appointed and had everything we needed during our stay. The yard was very dog-friendly, which was an important feature to us. This specific location is excellent ... and very close to the main clubhouse and pools. Barry arranged for us to use the golf cart, which tremendously enhances the experience of living in the Sun City Palm Desert (SCPD) community. At one point we experienced a problem with the air conditioner and upon contacting Barry in Canada, he immediately made a phone call to have the problem fixed immediately. We would absolutely rent here again, except we loved our experience and our time at SCPD so much, we just bought a place in the same community very nearby. Great time! Thanks so much, Barry ...

Great property with lots of room.

This large vacation home has been a great experience. Any questions or problems were promptly taken care of by the owner, who lives near by.

The out door heated hot tub was the greatest with powerful jets.

Our dog loved the large yard especially when she could chase after her ball.

The weather has been super and we tease our family in the Pacific North West about it cooling down to 80 degrees while they have 50 degrees and rain.

Great Vacation House

House is in a great location with an outstanding back yard with pool and spa. Great for kids and pets! This is not a view lot but rather very private and quiet and unusually large for Sun City. Barry was very accommodating with the dates and was available to show me everything about the property. House has everything you need for a relaxing time in Palm Desert.

DISSAPOINTED TENANT

INTERIOR WAS CLEAN. BACKYARD WAS OVERGROWN AND POORLY MAINTAINED. DROPPINGS FROM OVERHANGING TREES DAILY CLOGGED THE POOL'S CLEANING AND HEATING SYSTEM. OWNER EXPECTED TENANT TO DO DAILY POOL MAINTENANCE, PLUS SOME GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AND EXPECTED TENANT TO PAY FOR ELECTRICITY COSTS INCLUDING HEATING AND AUTOMATIC CLEANING OF THE POOL, EXCEPT FOR SMALL ALLOWANCE.

OWNER OVERCHARGED FOR CLEANING AFTER STAY, WHICH WAS WITHHELD FROM SECURITY DEPOSIT, WHICH WAS REIMBURSED IN CANADIAN RATHER THAN U.S. FUNDS, AS PROVIDED IN THE LEASE. THIS RESULTED IN A SIGNIFICANT LOSS TO TENANT DUE TO EXCHANGE FLUCTUATIONS.

SHOWER FIXTURE WAS OF POOR QUALITY AND HAD TO BE REPAIRED. BBQ NEVER WORKED. OWNER INTRUDED ON PROPERTY, WITHOUT NOTICE ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS.

OWNER GROSSLY UNDER-INSURED THE AUTO, WHICH WAS INCLUDED IN RENT. TENANT PAID TO UPGRADE COVERAGE, WHICH WAS NEVER REIMBURSED AS PROMISED. WHEN THE POLICY ELAPSED THE OWNER FAILED TO REINSTATE IT LEAVING TENANT TOTALLY AT RISK FOR 10 DAYS, WITHOUT HIS KNOWLEDGE.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM THIS OWNER.

Owner's Response: The first negative review in history of this lovely property. While the COD tenant was pleased with interior,winter storms In Palm Desert caused considerable exterior tree refuge on grounds and pool resulting in contracted gardener and pool services labor shortages and attendance delays . The Owner is not responsible for weather.The Guest invited the owner representatives for festive function in home over Festive season!!. The owner entered the property grounds to assess"needs" and tenant obsessive complaints. LONGLEAT was not represented as a HOTEL offering Concierge Services. Follow-on tenants had no trouble with BBQ, no personal concerns assisting in cleaning pool,raking pathways after storms as needed. Our offering terms Contract clearly states ,this is a "private" and personal home "...requiring care and attention by tenants as if their own...". Regretfully this odd tenant is an attitudinal misfit of this normal ethos.It is reasonable for a landlord to expect guests to honor the terms of service and to understand and make allowances when mother nature brings weather damage to a property.Acceptance of "stranger" Guests is always problematical to Landlords.There are travelers who find fault to every minutia issue and cannot be pleased. The Property is now and has been for many months is pristine show condition. We ask viewers to disregard this malicious and unreasonable negative review submitted six months after occupancy and,over the "most severe" winter on record in Palm Desert-Dec 1-Feb 28,2014 B. G.
