Easy and clean with character
Perfect for our family- of-five’s one-night stay when in town for a friend’s wedding. Great location and communicative owners who had it ready for us for early check in to give us time to dress for the event. Also highly recommend Café Olé just across and down the street.
Enjoyed our stay
The apartment was nice and was within walking distance of down town. The elevator did not work at the time I was there and I had to call and get get code to open key lock for door. There are a few unfortunate things to note:
-There we only 2 bedrooms and it stated 3
-There are 2 blow up mattress but both had holes.
-It states that it sleeps 8, but there were no sheets or pillow cases for the fold out sofa or for blow up mattresses.
-If you use the heat, the bedrooms became very hot and the livingroom would be cold.
-There were also only 4 towels available for use. If it sleeps 8 then I think there should be enough towels for 8 people.
Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.
Loved the location and the charm of this cute place !
Great neighborhood gem steps away from all the great historical sites. Michael was very attentive and our experience was fabulous . Definitely recommend investing in a large flatscreen tv . Thanks for a fun stay!
Cool vibe but could use some TLC
First and most important, the apartment is behind the orange Italian restaurant called La Locanda Del Ghiottone. It took us 20 minutes to find the place. Around the building off of Cherry street, you walk through an alley/parking lot and the first wooden walkway to your left is where you want to go. If you're arriving at night, it may seem a bit shady but we quickly learned the area is safe. I hope this helps the next visitor save time.
The apartment is very cool, with a nice vibe. It's not a dirty place but it could definitely use a deep clean (base boards, under furniture). But don't let this defer you, I did not feel dirty at all. Also, the apartment can use a fresh coat of paint. This all sounds nit picky I know, but I mention this not to sway your interest in staying here, but only in comparison with other apartments I've rented in the Philly area.
Be aware, that when the heat is running, and I'd assume it's the same with the AC, it is VERY loud! Neither my sister or I could sleep. It sounds like someone is taking a long shower right next to your room. I'd guess the age of the building has something to do with that. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
We didn't stay long but the little walking around we did, the area seems very cute and lively. We walked down to Market Street and had a FANTASTIC dinner at Marmont steakhouse - highly recommended. Not too far from other attractions if you don't mind walking, even Reading Terminal as long as it's a nice day and you're in comfy shoes.
If you're bored of staying in hotels or the same old place, this is a unique apartment with plenty of space!
Attractive, clean and comfortable
This is a nice unit in a great location. It's a little tricky to find and the entrance is not glamorous but the unit is attractive and immaculate. Walking distance to many historical sights. We had a great stay. A few additional amenities would have been appreciated: more hangers, Kleenex, another (or better) chair in the living room, a luggage rack or two but overall we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again if back in PA!
I have no complaints! This place is beautiful and in a great location! Everything was super clean and we felt very comfortable being there. Michael was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had!
