Cozy Cabin in the Woods
This was our third stay in this house we love it more each time we stay! It has become our home away from home! The house is SO clean and has all of the amenities we need. The kitchen has all of the basics you'd need, plenty of living space and the bedrooms are spacious as well. It has everything you need for a perfect stay. In the mornings we always enjoy a quick walk through the woods to check out the gorge right next to the house. The owner Bryan is always easy to get in contact with if we need anything and is VERY accommodating with our needs. We are already looking forward to our next trip next Spring!
Quiet stay in the woods
House was better than advertised! It is a great location to everything lake Cayuga has to offer!
Great location for touring Finger Lakes area
Bryan is an excellent communicator. The house is clean and straight forward as pictured. It is a great location with Ithaca having good bakeries, a Wegman supermarket and so much more. It was perfect for touring all the finger lakes. The only thing I would note is that if you park where Bryan recommends, it is a short distance to the house however, it is a downhill slope on gravel.
This may be an issue for anyone with walking challenges. One of our group is challenged and it was difficult for her particularly in the dark and when wet. Also, the basement stairs to the laundry (great washer and dryer) are long and steep. We are seniors so these are things are noteworthy to us.
Kitchen has a drip coffee pot and gas stove.
Great house!
Property was as advertised !! Quiet and roomy!
Fun stay at Finger Lakes
Excellent place to stay. We didn't get a chance to sit by the fire pit, but would have had to hunt or buy wood anyhow, and we had too much to do and too little time so it was fine.
Quaint And Charming
This house has a cute charm and is in an awesome location for touring around the Finger Lakes. We enjoyed the Wineries, Falls, Hiking and Apple Picking. Great location and easy access to everything . We had a very pleasant stay.
Location
The house is nestled in a forest on the Western shores of Cayuga Lake, five miles from downtown Ithaca, and five miles south of Taughannock Falls State Park. Taughannock Falls is the highest falls east of the Mississippi, and is taller than Niagara Falls. The house is on the southern end of the Cayuga wine trail, home to many outstanding vineyards and wineries that offer exceptional wines. Cayuga Lake is over 40 miles long, and offers all kinds of recreation from kayaking to jet skiing. Ithaca is, literally, surrounded by and filled with gorgeous gorges.
