Cozy Coach House In Central Wheaton Illinois

My husband Bill and I raised our family of four children in Wheaton. It is an excellent community to live and raise a family. We hope you will enjoy your visit very much.
Owner purchased this Studio in 1990
Why Owner chose Wheaton
Our coach house predates our home and was built by the Guglers in the early part of the 20th century. Mr Gugler was a lithographer and the coach house was his studio. Horses were kept below, and Pershing street to the south was a dirt cow path named after farmer Pershing, not the general. The fireplace is built from his old lithography stones , which was an early printing method for the 1800's. From 1995 until 2010 the coach house served as my art studio where I created custom floor cloths. Our coach house is situated on an acre of land in the center of Wheaton Illinois which is the county seat of Dupage county. Downtown Wheaton is a quaint and charming city with an abundance of dining options and boutique shopping
What makes this Studio unique
Our central location and walking distance to the train makes our property unique. We think you'll love the privacy and charm of this space

Cozy indeed! I felt totally at home and Liz is the best. The care and artistic sense that went into creating this delightful environment is felt throughout. Little extras provided for each visitor help to make life on the go as pleasant as possible, and truly create a welcoming "homecoming" from trips out and about Wheaton and the greater Chicagoland area. I definitely hope to stay here again.
Thanks for your kind words Chris! We really enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again.
Perfect location for access to Wheaton College and downtown Wheaton. Cozy, quaint and comfortable.
Exactly as pictured and described. A wonderful carriage house apartment upstairs with private entrance and a beautiful yard. Liz was helpful and quick to respond to any questions. This location is amazing and so convenient for anyone visiting Wheaton College. Close to the grocery store and downtown Wheaton.
When attending a football game in November, Liz graciously provided a blanket for these Florida folks which was greatly appreciated. Would recommend this apartment in a heartbeat!
Charming spot and well located in Wheaton.
Fun place to stay with generous breakfast provisions provided.
Close to Cantigny, Morton Arboretum and the restaurants of downtown Wheaton, as well as the Metra station.
Incredibly quaint and well stocked property!
Thoughtful host with good location and amenities. The building is separate and feels as if you are in a secluded garden. Separate bedroom with quality linens, adequate kitchenette, small bathroom (shower is tight) but a great alternative to the standard hotel options. Really love this property!
Lovely place to stay. Location was perfect, walking distance to Metra and great downtown Wheaton res
Lovely place to stay. Lots of amenities, comfortable and an attentive host/hostess.
Located in a lovely garden setting, private cozy second story apartment
The coach house is red barn adorable! Totally separate building with over garage apartment that faces out on a beautiful garden. Taking our son to college this was an incredibly convenient location to the college. Liz greeted us, introduced herself and explained a few details. Liz graciously made sure the kitchen was well appointed and the fridge had everything needed for breakfast...eggs, English muffins, orange juice, milk, cereals, amazing muffins and snacks! Liz provided access to herself through email, text and phone. It was a great experience, right up my alley...cute and quaint, a fun alternative to a hotel. Hope to be back again!
Thanks for your kind review! Looking forward to seeing you again this fall.
