This property was just beautiful!!! It was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Brittas Bay!!!! This gated community is nestled out in the country side just a 5 minute walk away from the beach! We had 4 adults and a baby and MORE than enough room. We were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine and complimentary log for the wood burning stove. There were maps and plenty of guides to help us decided what we wanted to see and do (ASIDE FROM THAT BEAUTIFUL BEACH) A beautiful wrap around deck to enjoy your morning cup of coffee/tea. We literally unpacked our suitecases and groceries and settled in!! We will be returning annually and will look forward to another stay at Brittas Bay!!!!!
Very comfortable stay
Stayed here for a week. Four adults and a dog. The location is very good - close to the beach and close to N11 main road. The living space was very adequate with plenty of space for sitting and eating and the property sits in nice garden, mostly grass. Bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate if a little dated. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and it was very good value.
Great property in a scenic and safe location. The decking surrounding the house allowed us to enjoy the weather throughout the day. The house is very well decorated and we appreciated the cleaning products left for us. The beach is a 5 minute walk but it's down a fairly busy road without a footpath. You can park for free if you turn right however down the Coast Road. The beach is magnificent. The Bay Cafe is excellent for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed a tour of Wicklow Brewery in Redcross and an excellent dinner with matching beers. Wicklow Gaol was excellent and the shopping centre/ cinema in Arklow is great if the weather is against you. Beautiful Mount Usher Gardens are nearby and Powersourt was stunning. Highly recommend both the property and the area.
Beautiful property in a wonderful location
Myself my wife my 2 sister in laws and my 4 grand kids stayed for a week there was ample room in the property and we had no concerns when the kids played outside as it is a gated community. It was within walking distance to the beautiful beach and being in the garden of Ireland the weather didn’t let us down.
There are plenty of activities in the play house and there were tennis competions and rounders for all ages to join in.
The holiday home has all amenities plus it is very homely, I personally enjoyed sitting in the mornings watching the sun come up plus eating alfresco at the large table and chairs on the decking.
We had an outing to Bray plus we visited Glenroe farm and the kids had ball.
I can guarantee we will be back.
Had such a wonderful week at Lazy Daze
We had such a great week from start to finish! The house was perfect for our needs and it was literally a like a home from home. We were made to feel welcome from the outset with a card and gift to wish us a happy holiday it could only be good from there on!
We had family join us from England and they were bowled over too when they saw their surroundings for the week. The house is so well equipped we didn’t want for anything. It was comfortable cosy and bright. We felt very safe and secure being a gated development. Very handy for getting out and about. In fact there’s so much to explore we’ll make sure to return one day.
Thanks for a wonderful holiday Clodagh!
The house location is perfect for Brittas Bay. The site is lovely, quiet and safe. The attention to detail inside the house is excellent, lovely decor and very clean. Everything is good quality and everything you could possibly need is provided. Great quality furniture, cookware, bed linen, towels, hair dryer, Sky tv.etc. Soap, toilet rolls, cleaning products etc provided. Lovely deck and fully enclosed garden, perfect for our dog. (No way out !)
Thank you so much for the lovely review . We work hard to make sure the house is up to standard for our lovely guests and are always delighted when we get goos feedback. Suzanne the breakfast bowls are in and the bbq is sorted ! Thank you . Clodagh
There is so much to do around Brittas Bay. Glendalough is a beautiful lake resort with wondeful scenery and walks. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. Arklow Town is 10 mins by car and hosts a full range of amentities shopping centres and cinema etc. Wicklow town is 10 mins away and has great restaurants, a leisure plex for kids and a pool. The real charm of Brittas however is that it is only 45 minutes by car to Dublin City where there are a host of museums, and a vast array of tourist attractions. The discerning tourist can combine a city break with a coastal one by basing themsleves in this lovely irish cottage.
rates are ex electricity charges which work out at approximatley 5 euros a day in summer and 7 euros in winter
