This cute cottage has two beautiful bedrooms and a loft with a great murphy bed. The vaulted ceilings, big beams and large windows to the sound make it feel larger than it's 1800 square feet. A wood burning stove is cozy on chilly nights and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a meal if you don't want to go to town! There is a wonderful western view through the trees to Skagit Bay, plenty of open space, and a large patio with a dining set for your pleasure! This is a healing place, quiet and surrounded by majestic evergreens.

About Jan Radosevich
I returned to Skagit Valley after visiting this cabin for many years. My parents built it for their escape away from Sedro Woolley. The house was built with beams milled from trees on the property! When it became mine in 2009, I started coming frequently from Bellevue, where I worked as a real estate broker. I decided to remodel since it had fallen into disrepair after being rented for a period of time. I didn't mean to, but I fell in love with La Conner and decided it was a good idea to move back to Skagit Valley and hang my broker's license in Anacortes, I started over again!
Why Jan Radosevich chose La Conner
only 1 hour and 20 minutes from downtown Bellevue or Seattle. Avoid the heavy traffic hours by coming early or later . It's a beautiful view along the way~
What makes this House unique
La Conner is a historical coastal town with a big reputation for tulips in the Spring. Lots to enjoy here; parks, shopping, dining, hiking, biking to mention just a few! 20 minutes away another old fishing town, Anacortes, offers ferry access to the San Juan Islands and Victoria BC. Many other rural day trips can keep you busy for some time~

Quality house in a beautiful setting
Jan's house is certainly the most interesting house we've stayed in. Inside and out there are all kinds of touches that make you wonder "what is her house like that her rental is decorated like this?" From special wooden "toys" to books on the local area to hugely stocked kitchen items to a Pandora setup... the list goes on and on. And Jan was really responsive to a few questions/needs that we had. You can see from the pictures that the house has a unique design and it's really comfortable.
The area is also great, with the shops and restaurants of La Conner just 5 minutes away and the gateway to the San Juans (Anacortes) just 15-20 minutes away. But it is really quiet and peaceful in the house's neighborhood. We enjoyed Deception Pass State Park, a ferry trip to Friday Harbor ($6.75 round trip for seniors!) and a whale watching trip with OuterIslandsX in Anacortes. All a lot of fun.
A gorgeous and serene spot in La Conner
Jan’s Place is a gorgeous and serene getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed the home with its well-appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. We are already planning our return visit!
Loved Jan's Place!
We loved this quaint and cozy cottage and it was the perfect home to share a relaxing weekend with friends. The cottage has charming decor, a well-stocked kitchen, a lovely view and a beautiful backyard. We enjoyed some nearby hiking, toured La Conner and especially relished our leisurely mornings and evenings at the cottage. If we're back in the area, we would definitely stay at Jan's place again (and again!)...
Beautiful home in a lovely location
This home was comfortable with all of the things that you didn't know that you would need, available for you. I stayed here with my husband and our 3 children. There was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen had a good supply of spices, flour, sugar, etc. All of the bathrooms were clean and well supplied.
The surrounding area was beautiful and close to a variety of sightseeing, hiking, kayaking, and touring. We loved our visit and would stay at this location again in the future.
Jan's place is fantastic!
We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely home near LaConner. Three private rooms to stay in and lots of attention to detail! Lots of times the pictures look better than the actual place, but in this case, the opposite is true. Way better than the pictures!
This place was very quiet and relaxing, fully equipped for 3 couples to stay.
We had a great time in the house and the little town of La Conner. We went to a community festival in Burlington and truly enjoyed ourselves. Our only suggestion is to have a book describing some of the homes features, for example how to work the TV and Roku. We never figured it out! Luckily, it was beautiful weather so we sat on the deck and enjoyed the calm.
Anacortes is within a twenty minute drive. There's some great waterfront parks to visit, access by ferry to the San Juan Islands, and many seasonal festivities. Mt Vernon is close to the freeway (I-5) and also within 20 minute drive; that's where you will find the big box stores and outlet mall!
