A newly refurbished holiday apartment in the grounds of a friendly, traditional country pub The King's Head in the Cotswold village France Lynch.
With an open plan living room/kitchen and diner this apartment is modern, light and airy and extremely comfortable.
There are two bedrooms one double and one twin. With a newly fitted kitchen and bathroom, this apartment is a pleasure to stay in.
The apartment has its own private garden and small balcony with stunning views across the Chalford valley.
We stayed for a couple of nights with our two kids. It was perfect for us. It was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The King's Head is right beside it, with nice food and good beer (I was a little worried about being right beside a pub with small children, but in practice it was a quiet, friendly place and we weren't bothered - even with people sitting outside). The pub also means there's parking space.
We did a circular walk around the area, up and down the valley that France Lynch is nestled on - it's very beautiful there.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Loft which was beautifully fitted out and spotlessly clean. Pat couldn't have been more helpful with booking and arrival, and made us feel very welcome - thoughtful extras left for us so we didn't have to rush out for eggs, milk and bread. Lovely garden and great views, with a cozy, friendly pub on the doorstep. Definitely planning to come back to stay again!
From the idyllic Cotswolds setting, the incredibly friendly people, birds and nature (foxes, deer, birds) this is a fantastic property. Pat and Mike are great hosts, the flat was clean, modern and in good repair. We loved being adjacent to the King's Head for a quick evening pint with the neighbours. The narrow Cotswolds lanes take some practice - and you need to definitely learn the UK rules of the road. Be courteous - we're all in this 6' wide street together!! Would absolutely recommend this property and would definitely stay here again (and again)!!!
We had a wonderful stay.
Pat and Mike were most helpful in making us welcome at this cosy place which is right next to their charming Pub.
If you want to be in an unpretentious place where you can truly relax, this is it.
This was a fantastic getaway from London. In the heart of the country, near grocery and gift shopping. Attentive and friendly renters, who own and operate a fully authentic village pub, complete with jovial regulars and an atmosphere of old. Would recommend it to anyone, families included. Many thanks for the recharge!
The accommodation was terrific, spacious and clean, nicely fitted out. The pub next door served great food at reasonable prices and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly.
Our only negative was the location, tucked deeply into a valley in a very small village and a challenge for North Americans to reach by car. Roads were extremely narrow in many places and sign-posting was not the best.
The King's Head is a traditional Cotswold village pub in the village of France Lynch near Chalford. The surrounding area is a walker's paradise with stunning views and scenery. The towns of Cirencester, Stroud, and Cheltenham and the cities of Gloucester and Bath are all within easy reach. It is an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds.
