Clean, tidy with excellent hosts

  • 5 of 5

After a trip in February we decided to take another short break to the Cotswolds and wouldn't have missed the opportunity to visit the Kings Head again.

Once again Pat and Mick where excellent hosts, the pub itself was still serving excellent food and beer and the locals were as warm and friendly as before...

Dear old Roger is still the same, rattling on about rugby, Den is still the nicest Welshman and a new addition to the characters we met was Dave a bright and interesting conversationalist

There were 2 new bar staff both excellent, polite, chatty and dealt with all requests with a smile.

Three great days Thanks again for the beers Mick

All the best

Phil and Bobbie xx

Fantastic location.

The place was nicely furnished, well equipped and clean. The pub next door serves some great food and it was welcoming and friendly. The property is set on the side of a beautiful valley with great views.

A 60th Birthday Suprise

  • 5 of 5

To try and earn some well needed brownie points, I decided to spring a surprise trip to the Cotswolds on the wife to celebrate her special day.

Having read a few of the reviews I was a little worried that the accommodation might be a little small, as I had decided to invite our best friends as well.

I needn't have worried the flat was spacious enough for 4 grown ups, it was clean and tidy with great views.

Pat and Mick proved to be excellent hosts and gave us a very warm welcome - helping to add to the day by collecting flowers and balloons from the florists and keeping them well hidden until needed. The food in the pub was great and affordable, a wide enough selection of ales and wines to keep the pickiest of punters satisfied

The locals were great warm and welcoming especially Welsh Dan and Roger ( buy him a drink and you have a friend for life)

In short it was a great weekend helped made special by our friends and new friends alike

We will be back

Nice little apartment in the middle of beautiful countryside, and attached to a lovely pub!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a couple of nights with our two kids. It was perfect for us. It was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The King's Head is right beside it, with nice food and good beer (I was a little worried about being right beside a pub with small children, but in practice it was a quiet, friendly place and we weren't bothered - even with people sitting outside). The pub also means there's parking space.

We did a circular walk around the area, up and down the valley that France Lynch is nestled on - it's very beautiful there.

Lovely apartment in beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Loft which was beautifully fitted out and spotlessly clean. Pat couldn't have been more helpful with booking and arrival, and made us feel very welcome - thoughtful extras left for us so we didn't have to rush out for eggs, milk and bread. Lovely garden and great views, with a cozy, friendly pub on the doorstep. Definitely planning to come back to stay again!

In a Word: Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

From the idyllic Cotswolds setting, the incredibly friendly people, birds and nature (foxes, deer, birds) this is a fantastic property. Pat and Mike are great hosts, the flat was clean, modern and in good repair. We loved being adjacent to the King's Head for a quick evening pint with the neighbours. The narrow Cotswolds lanes take some practice - and you need to definitely learn the UK rules of the road. Be courteous - we're all in this 6' wide street together!! Would absolutely recommend this property and would definitely stay here again (and again)!!!
