The Cottage was built in 2012 and we keep it in top condition. The neighborhood is very quiet with quiet lanes for a stroll, horse pastures and a great view of the mountains.
We have lived here for about 20 years. We completed the Cottage in 2012. Jenny is a family physician. I am a teacher. We have 2 children, one in college and the other in high school.
Frazier Worth purchased this cottage in 1994
The Cottage is in a quiet pastoral, farming community. We like the privacy and peace we find here. We've spent a lot of time working on the gardens, flowers, and landscaping. You can pick raspberries in the morning to put on your cereal and have fresh lettuce on your sandwich at lunch.
The Cottage is our project. We designed it to be very comfortable for a couple. It is simple but elegant with everything you could need. There is a lot of light, front porch and deck, and internet.
Very cool little house. My girlfriend and I stayed in the cottage for a few days and couldn't have asked for more. Between quick trips into Asheville and nearby hiking, the location was perfect. The house itself was very cozy and had everything we needed for our quick trip.
This was the perfect location. Just far enough from all the hustle and bustle, yet centrally located close enough to all the festivities of downtown Asheville. Wish I could have had a day extra just to relax and read a good book. The Owners were friendly.
We enjoyed our stay so much at the garden cottage! The rental was beautifully constructed and had everything we could need. The grounds are amazing and our pup loved running around and looking at the horses. We didn't meet the owners but still felt very well taken care of. It's location wasn't too far from downtown and we were even able to take an über into town. We will definitely return if we can!
enjoyed our stay over the weekend.
Nice rural quiet area, everything you need in this cottage.
Lots of privacy and beautiful property, overlooking horse pasture in back.
Fairly convenient to downtown Asheville.
Highly recommend and we will be back!
We were in North Georgia for a business trip and decided to end it with a "girl's getaway" to the Asheville. So glad we chose to stay here! Beautiful, peaceful, safe location. So tranquil! The cottage is beautiful with a gorgeous view from the back balcony. The surrounding area is nice with friendly people. ♡♡♡
This cottage was a wonderful place to stay, convenient to both Asheville and The Biltmore as well as Chimney Rock. Very nice and private, it was also very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our dogs enjoyed the stay as well, with a large shaded front porch and a back deck overlooking a field of wildflowers and horses. Charming. The downstairs did not have air conditioning, but the upstairs unit worked well, and the open stairwell and fans kept the place very comfortable. Would definitely go back.
We are located 20 min SE of Asheville. Asheville sights include The Biltmore House, Blue Ridge Parkway(10 min. away), eccentric, vibrant downtown with shopping, music and excellent restaurants.
Closer to our home there are quiet country lanes for walking and beautiful countryside.
Asheville has become a fine dining destination with too many fine restaurants to count. We love to go out ourselves and we can guide you to many of the best restaurants. Asheville also has many local beer breweries, making Asheville a great place to sample the best of independent brewing. Downtown is alive until all hours of the night with many coffee shops and bars many of which offer entertainment.
We also enjoy hiking in the area or just going to a local swimming hole in a beautiful creek or one of several rivers in the area. Rafting and canoeing are easy options here, also biking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rock climbing is also available at nearby Chimney Rock State Park.
