The Cottage was built in 2012 and we keep it in top condition. The neighborhood is very quiet with quiet lanes for a stroll, horse pastures and a great view of the mountains.
We have lived here for about 20 years. We completed the Cottage in 2012. Jenny is a family physician. I am a teacher. We have 2 children, one in college and the other in high school.
Frazier Worth purchased this cottage in 1994
The Cottage is in a quiet pastoral, farming community. We like the privacy and peace we find here. We've spent a lot of time working on the gardens, flowers, and landscaping. You can pick raspberries in the morning to put on your cereal and have fresh lettuce on your sandwich at lunch.
The Cottage is our project. We designed it to be very comfortable for a couple. It is simple but elegant with everything you could need. There is a lot of light, front porch and deck, and internet.
This cottage was beyond expectations. It was clean, cozy, and in a great location. I loved waking up in the morning and sitting on the back deck watching the horses in the pasture. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Mr. Worth's Garden Cottage. Directions to the property were right on even without a GPS. The cottage was neat and tidy on our (late night) arrival. Even though we could not park next to the cottage the paved path made it easy to unload our luggage. We were pleasantly surprised with the spiral staircase. This feature left the first floor with a very open layout. Amenities were as described. We especially appreciated the hiking and running trail guides. The owner's restaurant guide was spot on. There was even a small ice chest that was just the right size for lunch, snacks and water. The outside was neat and well maintained.
Mr. Worth was readily available to assist with questions. He even came right over to assist with figuring out the television remote.
We will definitely recommend the Garden Cottage to friends and relatives. This location is close, but not too close, to Asheville and all it has to offer. A short drive gets you to restaurants and shopping or hiking trails.
We enjoyed most of our meals at the coffee table with a great view out of the picture window. The Country Corner in Biltmore Village did serve a great breakfast though. We hiked numerous trails easily accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I had a great time here. This place is even more cozy and adorable than I had expected! Convenient location not far from downtown Asheville. Beautiful east side of town on the way to Chimney Rock. My dog loved the yard. The back deck has a great view of a horse pasture. You won't be disappointed. I would love to stay here again!
I really can't stress how much my friends and I enjoyed this cottage. Everything about it is just beautiful. The inside is cozy and welcoming. The back porch was my favorite place to be first thing in the morning and in the afternoon when the sun started to go down. It was so quiet and the horses just added to an amazing view. Waking up upstairs in the mornings with the windows open was such a special treat and made my heart so full. I miss being there and really hope to return very soon. I could definitely live there full time.
About 20 minutes from Asheville, means easy access to the Blue Ridge parkway, lots of nice hikes, and quiet! The cabin in very nice, new and clean. Perfect, though we didn't spend much time there. We highly recommend this spot when you visit Asheville.
Very cool little house. My girlfriend and I stayed in the cottage for a few days and couldn't have asked for more. Between quick trips into Asheville and nearby hiking, the location was perfect. The house itself was very cozy and had everything we needed for our quick trip.
We are located 20 min SE of Asheville. Asheville sights include The Biltmore House, Blue Ridge Parkway(10 min. away), eccentric, vibrant downtown with shopping, music and excellent restaurants.
Closer to our home there are quiet country lanes for walking and beautiful countryside.
Asheville has become a fine dining destination with too many fine restaurants to count. We love to go out ourselves and we can guide you to many of the best restaurants. Asheville also has many local beer breweries, making Asheville a great place to sample the best of independent brewing. Downtown is alive until all hours of the night with many coffee shops and bars many of which offer entertainment.
We also enjoy hiking in the area or just going to a local swimming hole in a beautiful creek or one of several rivers in the area. Rafting and canoeing are easy options here, also biking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rock climbing is also available at nearby Chimney Rock State Park.
