About Kelly Willis
My husband and I bought this house just last year, and decided not to rent the basement, so that we have plenty of space when the grandparents visit! So we left it furnished and with none of our personal clutter, and are happy to share it with travelers who want a nice (and more economical) alternative to a hotel.

Warm and perfect for a get away with friends
Kelly has a beautiful home, well stocked with the basics and conveniently located to the metro and restaurants. A wonderful neighborhood to stroll and admire the architecture. We'll be back! Thank you Kelly!
Consider guests who want to cook
The apt is in a great location, and nicely furnished. As one reviewer noted, it could use some small repairs on things such as a broken closet door and loose cupboard doors. But what would have made it more comfortable for us is if the kitchen were set up to cook simple meals, which is one of the main reasons we rent apts and houses. The fridge door was full of multiple bottles of condiments, the freezer was half full of hot dog buns (?), and the cupboards were stuffed with a miscellany of food so there was no room for ours. And the selection of glasses, mugs, and plates was an odd mix .So simple to just have six matching wineglasses, mugs, water glasses, plates, etc. , and a few pans that don't look like they've had heavy use for years. With a little attention from this nice host, the apt could be so much nicer.
I'm very sorry to receive my FIRST 3-star review in 2+ years of rental. I wish you had requested my help in getting you set up to cook - as I offered multiple times in my communication! You are the first person I've ever had complain about the full kitchen with gorgeous dishes (there are TWO six-plate sets) or the pots and pans (Le Creuset!) , slow cooker, knife set and sharpener, microwave, utensil collection, garlic press, espresso machine, etc etc.
Very odd complaint about hot dog buns in the freezer. I hope you suffered through your stay despite these hardships.
Comfortable space great neighborhood
Space was comfortable for two couples. Needs a little maintenance TLC cabinet and closet doors fell off during use. the neighborhood has many dining choices. Used Uber mostly @ around $10 to the national mall.
Great location; comfortable apartment
Really enjoyed it, thanks, Kelly.
Cozy and comfortable
We spent two days in the Washington DC area with another couple. We found this apartment to be very cozy and comfortable. The owner was responsive to our questions. We didn't do any cooking while we were there, but the unit seemed well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, etc. Parking was somewhat challenging. We followed owner's suggestion of putting the car in a parking garage and using Uber or Lyft. That worked fine for us. We also walked to a restaurant one evening. Many options nearby. We would gladly stay there again.
Great home base to see the sights!
Had everything we needed and was close to all the sights! Would definitely stay again if in DC
