A sandy tidal beach lies just a moment's walk away and offers a tranquil swim, a rugged coastline climb, or just a wander around the beach.
The walks along our headland are absolutely incredible, with a 17th century watch tower, a secluded cove and a salt tower among it's delights.
The surrounding countryside is dotted with small colourful towns and villages, which provide a range of food from irish pub grub to high restaurant quality standard.
Clonakilty, the home of Michael Collins, is just seven miles from the cottage and has a wide variety of delicious restaurants and, in particular, a traditional Irish pub where many renowned bands play, De Barra's.
There is also the spoiling Incheydoney Spa with an indoor sea water pool and a thalassic health spa.

I own a small holding in West Cork which I farm organically.
I have two cottages on the land which I rent out.
Dunworley is somewhere that we used to visit a lot, being the most beautiful beach in Ireland! The property used to be the famous organic restaurant, Dunworley Cottage Restaurant, where we we would often eat.
When it came on the market we fell in love and moved here with our family to start out own organic small holding.
We couldn't resist having the most breathtaking vistas on our doorstep!
You can have a delicious gourmet dinner cooked by a professional chef.
Incomparable walks on the Seven Heads Peninsula (on the Wild Atlantic Way) with incredible views.
What an amazing spot! We really enjoyed our visit at the Coachhouse. I'd go back there again - great spot to unwind, unplug, watch some cows. It's definitely off the beaten path. A cozy cottage - and even some fresh eggs there for us to have the next morning. If you're looking for something a little removed from the usual tourist destinations, this is a great stopping place.
My boyfriend and I stay in the Coach house for almost two weeks and had the best time there... Wonderful hosts and accomadations..It felt just like being at home each day. Lots of things to do and its not far from bars and attractions around Ireland. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire each night and just soaking in our surroundings. The dogs would follow us down to the beach and they ended up being our own little tour guides down there..lol. We will for sure be back in the future. Thanks again
Gilly & Richard-We absolutely loved your coach house. It was so cozy & had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The decorations are absolutely adorable, beautiful quality and tasteful. I especially love the elephant quilts. Thanks also for the garden tour & showing me the chickens/hens. The absolute best part of the stay has to be the fabulous meals prepared for us by Gilly & served to us at our own table by Richard. You are an amazing chef, kudos Gilly!!! Thanks for your patience in helping us with our navigation issues and your wonderful service Richard. It was great to be able to walk right out to your lovely shoreline-so spectacular. We only wish we could have stayed longer. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
I know I'm about a year late, but I was just reminiscing about our honeymoon in August/September of 2013. We were looking for a little Irish culture, not to stay in a hotel in town. We found the cottage to be exactly as it was listed. A quaint stone cottage away from it all. Although we did a lot of driving around to other locations during our 10 day visit, this place was awesome to come "home" to. The location, a short walk from a beautiful beach was remarkable as well. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you Gilly and Richard for a very pleasant stay.

We arrived for our honeymoonon a monday evening. Soon as i walked through the door my heart sank. The cottage is run down wasnt cleaned(not to my standards). There were spider webs all over the bathroom, the whole cottage was full of flies and bugs crawling inside the bedsheets. By wednesday i had decided to leave but was convinced to give it a few more days reluctantly i did but by friday morning i had all i could take and we left with no other accomidations. The owners of the cottage were sweet and very welcoming. But it feels like we were visiting a third world country.. We will never return to ireland our honeymoon was ruined from this experience
We feel so lucky to have found this place. It's a special getaway in a very unique part of Ireland. Honestly one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. Now that I'm living in a city it was just incredible to be able to live for a few days in a spot like this in this with animals around and in this adorable cottage. We instantly felt like it was ours. Richard and Gilly wonderful. We wished we had seen more of them. Also the vegetables straight from the garden a really big bonus, and taste so different to our usual supermarket veg. We are going to book again asap for the summer. I hope its going to become an annual treat!
This place is a slice of Heaven! It is an extremely comfortable, clean and cosy cottage only minutes from the stunning Dunworly Beach and W Cork coastline. The owners could not have been more helpful and advised me of several lovely spots to visit. Clonakilty, the neighbouring town is full of life, artists and wonderful pubs. I highly recommend this property to all and look forward to visiting it myself again soon.
