This 1926 craftsman cottage is loaded with charm. One of the original wooden properties in the city, Midori Haus is in the Mango Grove Historical District -- three blocks to downtown and under a mile to the beach and Lake Worth pier.
The recently renovated cottage has period details including: hard wood floors, original windows and original wood trim. There is a covered pergola and large deck inside a large fenced additional lot. Kids will like to feed the fish in the koi pond with waterfall. Renovations were completed August 2016. The 1,100 sq ft (105 sq mtrs) includes 2 bedrooms with large closets, 1 bath with bathtub/shower, living room, dining room, entrance hall and well-equipped cook's kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. The free washer and dryer are in a separate outdoor laundry room.
There is safe on-street parking and a shared secured parking lot off the rear alley.
The cottage is on one level with only three steps making it easy to access. It shares a large fenced double lot with a carriage house rental property in the back (also available for rent - see Carriage House Cottage). The garden is like a tropical oasis with many varieties of palms, flowering native trees, orchids and ferns.
The house has central air conditioning and heating with five ceiling fans and there are two flat screen TVs with Direct TV service and high speed wifi. The cottage is cosy and has lots of natural light. The patio gets a constant breeze and is shaded under large live oak trees.
The beach is under a mile away. Downtown Lake Worth with its many bars, restaurants, local theatres, Starbucks, Post Office and banks is only three blocks away. There is large Publix grocery store also three blocks away.
There is gas grille for BBQs and cruiser bicycles to ride to the public beach and downtown. For golfers, the public 18 hole, par 70 Lake Worth Golf Club is 4 blocks away and is open year-round.
