About the property

New 2 bed, en-suite apt, commanding views of the West Coast

Accommodation is relatively new & offers peaceful, clean, relaxing holidays. It is situated away from the commercial side of Barbados, but is easily reached by car/taxi etc.

The Apt offers 2 good sized bedrooms, 1 en-suite. There is a main shower room & WC. The Kitchen comes equipped with washing machine, dryer, elec cooker with large oven & grill, dishwasher, microwave, Coffee Machine, iron & board & a very large American style fridge/freezer.

The lounge opens via French Doors, likewise the main bedroom has large French doors opening out onto a very large balcony/veranda & again this has a large spacious dining area with table and chairs for the all important Al Fresco dining & a lounge area with plenty of relaxing & comfortable seating.

The sun rises to the back of the apt, giving warm morning sun & sets to the front of the apt, giving valuable shade from the heat of the Caribbean sun, & then take your recliner, along with a glass of something tasty and watch the sun sink into the blue Caribbean sea!

Deposit to secure booking: A £250 booking fee for each week you wish to stay, will secure your stay at Brocklestone, which will be taken off against your balance.

T & C's

1. Payments for deposit and booking fees will be accepted by Bacs, cash, cheque, or postal order. The balance of your Account must be paid 6 weeks before the commencement of your holiday.

2. No bookings can be accepted from groups of either young men or women unless by prior arrangement.

3. There is a £250 deposit for breakages/ damages/lost keys and also to include that the apt be kept and left, in a reasonable standard, as to how you found it please. This will be returned to you on completion of your stay and when confirmation has been received, notifying us that the above is in order. We apologise for the need to do this, but It is to cover in the event of any of the above which might inhibit or spoil for the next holiday makers coming to stay at the apartment

4. Bookings are accepted in the order of deposits received.

T&C's - REURNABLE DEPOSIT: 5. In the event of cancellation, we would like to point out that a booking is a contract and deposits will only be returned if the accommodation is re-let, so please inform us early if you have to cancel.

6. Bookings will not be accepted for more people that the numbers quoted on the brochure for each unit.

7. In the event of fire, storm, tempest or any other disaster which makes your booked accommodation unavailable, we will do our best to provide you with alternative dates or a full refund on your deposit.

8 In order that you may enjoy your holiday we aim to provide your with peaceful surroundings. We reserve the right to evict anyone who causes any excess disturbance, which we consider may be spoiling other peoples’ holiday or is deemed unacceptable by the management.

9. Bedding must not be used outside the apartment.

Notes:
You can be met at the airport for approx £50 each way or make your own way up to the apt (with good driving instructions, very clear and simple!) with your chosen Car Hire. We have a very good contact for Car Hire, probably the best rates on the Island! If you would like traditional Bajan meals prepared for you at the apartment, we can arrange this for you.

As described by others...great

The property is accurately described. It’s well furnished and in a good location. When the Barbadian sun is at full pelt, the fact that the breezes blow straight through the apt is extremely welcome. The main pool is a much underused facility- at least when we were there. It’s a lovely place to swim, and now there is a weekly meet-up on Monday evening where residents can meet up and admire the view. Beaches, restaurants are all within 10/15 mins by car. Jennine is mighty helpful, every chance we will stay here again.

excellent accomodation

On arrival at Vuemont we were welcomed by the security guard at the gate and directed to the apartment car park.

The apartment was well presented and very clean and tidy.

The next morning we were able to appreciate the rooms and especially the veranda where we spent most of the time as the view is special as shown in the picture.

We would certainly recommend this property as the owners took the trouble to outline the do's and don'ts and share their experiences of the island (which is beautiful).

They also arranged car hire for us, which as we found out was an essential, as the property is accessed by a steep hill. We can only thank them very much for that.

We soon found our way to a number of beaches along the west coast and ventured to the other side of the island which is also stunning.

The people are so friendly and helpful and we ate locally as there was no reason to search far and wide for restaurants.

The supermarkets were well stocked, and we did not find it too expensive.

Would certainly visit again.

Perfect location

A lovely place to stay in Barbados perched on the hill with views of the Caribbean in the distance. The balcony was a real favourite to be enjoyed at all times of the day from breakfast in the morning; great sofas to chill out and read during the day and a table and chairs to enjoy a meal. A great holiday with good organisation from Jennine before and during our stay.

Owner's Response: So pleased you enjoyed your stay, both of you. I think you must have mimicked my holiday, as the balcony is probably where we spend 80% of our time when we are in the apt! Having the Sun in the morning on the balcony for breakfast is the right way round, because as the balcony is shaded from the hottest time of the day, you are still able to sit out there comfortably!! Even the rain doesn't deter you from being out there!! It was our pleasure to have you to stay at the apt, you both are more than welcome to stay again whenever you are able to do the trip next!! Family of 4 visit to Barbados ( kids aged 12 and 14)

Wonderful spot. The apartment was clean and fully equipped. We enjoyed the space it provided particularly the two sets of french doors with walk-out to covered deck. The breeze with doors and windows open was amazing and because of this we spent 24 hours a day in the fresh air. We only had one evening that was a bit hot. We enjoyed walks around the complex at night and watching the sunset from the most west part of the property. A car is a must have and if you enjoy exploring this is great spot to do it from. I wasn't sure about being off the beach but we loved it. We took the opportunity to explore the many different highlights of the Island. The roads are not so wide and not always well marked but if you have the ability to use google maps it worked like a charm.

Groceries would highly recommend a trip to Holetown early in your vacation for groceries. They have a good selection is this sizeable supermarket. Speightown supermarket down by the ocean is also well stocked with options. We found we cooked most meals to cut down on costs. Being Canadian the USD can take a bit out of your spending. Didn't mind at all cooking in the well-quipped kitchen. We even used the coolers provided to pack a lunch several days. Lunch at the Orange Street Grocer ( Small Gourmet Deli) in Speightown's is worth a trip. Great location, a little on pricey side but a delightful treat and worth it.

The North point at Flower Pot Cave is definitely worth a visit. Snorkelling off the beach at Folkstone Marine Park just of north of Holetown is worth it. You can rent equipment there for $10. You can also spot turtles at one end of the Sandy Lane Beach. And of course a day trip to Crane Beach. It really is one of the most beautiful beaches. Make sure to go up top in the Resort for a fantastic view of the gorgeous blue water.

Christmas in Barbados!

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to Jennine and Laurence for their time and energy in providing us with information on this wonderful island. We have been lucky to travel to many destinations around the world, and we can honestly say that Brocklestone was by far one of the cleanest, well presented, well facilitated and nicest apartments that we have stayed in.

As we have stated in the guest visitors hand book, "we would not stay anywhere else in Barbados".

Final thoughts - before you even arrive in a destination or even think of booking somewhere it all begins with the very first point of call. We must say that from the very first moment we enquired about this fabulous apartment we were able to engage and receive personable, friendly and a humble warm attitude in return. That before booking is for us of the utmost importance.

Thank you Jennine and Laurence for a lovely 17 night vacation and when we return to Barbados we will not be looking elsewhere.

Whilst we don't set in stone that weekly stays have to start on the same day of the week, we would please ask that when booking our most popular times, (December thru to April), to be mindful of not leaving us gaps that we will struggle to rent out to other prospective guests.
