Guestbook comments from the owner

Further to the Email that I received from Scott and Heather, I found this review in our guest book.

Vieux Bleu has to be one of the best places to have a vacation.

We couldn't decide if we should ever leave the property to explore elsewhere !

The main house and its wonderfully comfortable atmosphere was perfect enough, then you see the next "level" which is like a private resort.

The gardens are so breathtaking - I hope all the pictures I took help to explain a little bit of the heaven we discovered here.

We did venture out a bit and adored the village of Grimaud. The restaurants there were all yummy and we loved the Chateau Patisserie.

Phillipe your guardian was very helpful and we are so glad we took his advice for driving to and picking a spot to experience the beach in "St Tropez"

We hope to return again one day.

Thank you for sharing your splendid home.

Two parents, four kids and inlaws! What could possibly go right? Well, everything as it happens. The villa is well appointed and has everything you need. The pool house is a home on its own and the outdoor kitchen at the pool house meant we didn't need to use the fully fitted kitchen in the main house. Each night we used the outdoor gas grill and thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the warm evening air.

The house has a rural setting away from the village but close enough to nip in if you need anything. The vineyard staff were most welcoming and the rose is superb. We are even considering driving next time to load up!

When we arrived at the villa Philippe was there to meet us. He couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent English, great knowledge of the house and area. He also has a very impressive waxed moustache.

The one thing you will remember from this home is the lack of light pollution at night. It's simply stunning to sit out and look at the stars.

I could go on but will finish by saying this; for a family of eight with ages from 70 to 11 this was the perfect set up. Everyone had their own space. Wifi for those that wanted it, a pool for those that wanted it and great cooking/drinking areas for the rest of us.

Second Visit - Just As Wow

  • 5 of 5

We have just had our second holiday here , how could it possibly seem better than last time?

This time we invited friends to join us making 4 adults and 2 kids - our biggest problem was that we wanted our friends to have the best house but simply couldn't choose between the 2, the bigger house which has 2 bathrooms and all the niceties within, or the pool house at the top of the garden where the views over the local vineyards are superb, not to mention the outdoor lounge, outdoor kitchen (which is more equipped than my kitchen at home!) and finally the pool which was only a few steps away.

At the end of each evening both families retired to the privacy of their own little house - perfect for still having our own space!

Although wanting to explore the area we all found it hard to drag ourselves away from lazing round the pool where the absolute tranquility of the garden (our friends could not believe that we had found such a place) makes you become worry and stress free, and it must be experienced to believe it!

Also Thank you to Phillipe for keeping the pool lovely and clean for us and being on hand for anything we wanted .

We will definately be back again.

Lovely villa near Grimaud and wineyards

  • 4 of 5

We've had a fantastic week and enjoyed every bit of it. Villa bleu is wonderful and also decorated with a lot of taste. The location is calm and isolated, exactly what we wanted. Philippe is very kind and helpful, it's really reassuring to have him taking care of small details like a power cut after a thunderstorm! The house and garden are clean and well kept. I will recommend Villa bleu to friends.

Great !

  • 5 of 5

We spend a wonderful time in the Villa Vieux Bleu. Everything was made to make us happy.

Philippe who welcomed us, was really discret, kind and available.

The houses are very well accommodated and the place is simply lovely and peaceful. You live near one of the most famous place in France, away from the noise and the agitation !

Our vacation were as we hope…even more...

Brilliant - we will definitely be back!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Vieux Bleu was a wonderful place to spend time with our family and friends, it was even better than we had imagined.

What we had not realised was that there were 2 separate villas, both with facilities for sleeping 4 people, this meant that both our families spent our days together around the pool having fun and dining alfresco in the poolside kitchen diner but at night each family retired to their own private villa to shower and sleep.

Brilliant ,we will definitely be back .

Owner's Response: We look forward to seeing you again and are glad that you enjoyed the privacy of the 2 villas , our original listing did read "2 Pretty Villas" , but we found that it confused some people who thought that it meant sharing the facilities with others.

We arrived mid April to Villa Vieux Blue and our first impressions were wow. What a perfectly kept, beautiful, tasteful villa. Immaculate both inside and out, this was clearly a well looked after place.

There was ample room for us, and not once did we feel insecure about anything here. Everything was furnished and decorated to such a high standard, completely modern yet retaining that authentic traditional look, I don’t think we've ever experienced such a beautiful holiday villa.

The size was Perfect for my family as there was enough room for the children to explore whilst remaining safe in the grounds of the villa, giving us our own private time to relax and enjoy the glorious surroundings. The view from the garden is to die for, and you are totally secluded yet only a short drive away from local towns, villages and of course the magnificent Saint Tropez .

I would highly recommend this holiday rental to anyone considering a holiday in the Saint Tropez region, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
