Why Bill Morgan chose Kauai

I have been returning to Kauai since first living here in 1975. Hale Pulelehu'a is located on the best beach on the entire island of Kauai. We designed Hale Pulelehu'a to appeal to our multi-generational family. The house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the North Shore and is close to so many great activities. There are so many spectacular things to do within walking distance of the house that you may not even want to get in your car!

Fantastic Hawaiian Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Extremely clean, well equipped Kauai beach house. We also really enjoyed the Tree house (guest house). At an additional $150/night it may be the best deal on Kauai! Fantastic yard and garden with plumeria, bananas, papayas and a whole lot of other fruits and flowers that I can't name! It really was only 50 steps to an incredible beach where we were able to swim and snorkel. Bill provides lots of beach toys- boogie boards, snorkel gear, lots of kids beach toys and beach chairs and umbrellas. We are all dreaming of our return trip!

Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The Butterfly House is a wonderful place to stay on the North Shore. Especially since our favorite beach is Tunnels and it was within walking distance. Also of note that the house is very clean and well stocked. Our group was able to find privacy due to the large yard and living area. The beach across the street was a bit rough due to the season, but the adults in our group actually liked the big waves and played in the water every day. Just down the beach is an area that is calmer for the more cautious. I really miss the coffee stand. Best blended coffee ever!!! Thank you owners for a wonderful stay.

What a week! Island paradise!

  • 5 of 5

Great location near Napali coast with almost private beach. We made good use of the supplied beach gear. The house is amazing with very spacious living areas, very comfortable beds for all, and wonderful decorating. Great for kids. Quiet neighborhood. Bill was easily reached by quick text.

Great home!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent five days here with a family of nine including children ages 9 months to 24 years. Beautiful home that has a very well stocked kitchen - unlike other homes we have stayed at. The location is fantastic. The guest home was perfect for our oldest daughter, her husband, and their nine month old. Big thank you to Bill for allowing us to use it on last minutes notice. If cooking meals with stove and oven it does get hot in the kitchen at night but don't despair - if you open things up and use the fans it cools down a lot at night. Most nights it got cool enough that we had to use a blanket. I normally do not do well without air conditioning but this house was fine. In the late afternoon it can be warm, but again - it cooled down a lot at night. Was not a problem.

Extremely spacious kitchen, family room and deck area which is all open. Great for a large group. One silly side note: I don't know if this is a Canadian thing, but we are used to using a wash cloth to clean counters, stove, table top etc. There are lots dish towels but no dish cloths. Apparently they just use a sponge for this. This felt weird to us because we are not used to it so we just went and got a pack of J-clothes - actually they are not called that in the states - at the local store. This is just a heads up to anyone expecting that.

The beach access is literally right across the street. It is great. The surf was very high when we were there and the water was quite rough but we were careful and we still would get in at the end of the day to clean off or cool down; it was also great after a morning run or work out to just go down and dive in. It is not a place you would snorkel or go in with little children when the surf is high - likely different in the summer or low surf - but it is still a fantastic location.

There is a locker with a lot of beach equipment and toys. There are several chairs and umbrellas. Lots of snorkel gear, beach toys, noodles, inflatable tubes, mats, fishing poles. There are styrofoam coolers and an igloo cooler. All well organized and useable.

If you are staying on the North Shore I would highly recommend this home. Absolutely fantastic place.

Well equipped home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 8 adults spent a week at "The Butterfly House" and "The Treehouse".

The close proximity to the beach and several North Shore sights was outstanding.

The property included everything anyone would need for a most memorable vacation.
