Overview

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Rio Rico Northwest

This stunning executive-style home is a rare and special treat. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail while relaxing in the private, enclosed front garden with views to the Tumacacori Mountains. Or sit out on the huge covered patio and view four mountain ranges. Nestled at 3800 feet, this is a year-round paradise with summer temperatures rarely reaching over 100, and wintertime averages in the 60s.

The master bedroom sits apart from the other bedrooms and overlooks the covered patio. The custom-tiled master bath features double sinks, a large shower, a deep soaking tub for two, and a walk-in closet.

Two other bedrooms are available - one with a futon, and one with a queen size bed. These share a bath with shower.

The kitchen is a gourmet cook's delight: sub-zero side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, granite counter tops, cook top, built in oven and microwave, island with double sinks, and plenty of seating. There is a large pantry just off the kitchen.

The sunken living room has a beehive, wood-burning fireplace for chilly winter evenings.

The floor plan is very open and flowing - great for entertaining or for simply enjoying the spaciousness.

You will never lack for things to do: wineries, restaurants, art galleries and a Spanish mission are all located in Santa Cruz county. Venture a little further and you'll find Tucson with its plethora of shopping, restaurants, history, and culture. Or drive a little over an hour to the east and visit Tombstone, Bisbee and beautiful Kartchner Caverns. There are 15 golf courses within a 10-25 minute drive, and the area is one of the best bird watching areas in the US.

Or do nothing. Many of our guests have not wanted to leave the serenity of the countryside and the beautiful space our home offers.

Why Beth White chose Rio Rico

We fell in love with the house at first sight. They were drawn in by the open feel of the home, the privacy and the spectacular views. They liked the feeling of being away from it all, and yet just minutes from Tubac and shopping and about a 50 minute drive from Tucson as well.

'Our work is taking us away for the next couple of years, and we are inviting you to come and enjoy our special home that sits high on a

beautiful mesa overlooking two mountain ranges on either side. From our

large partly covered verandah we have enjoyed many a magical sunrise and moonrise. You can almost pluck the stars right out of the sky, the air is so clear and fresh. Come and enjoy.' - Ann Mortifee

Experienced Southern Arizona in style!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely home in January and February of 2015. The views from the top of the mountain this home sits on we're inspiring. My husband wrote a book while we lived there. We met the best neighbors and now friends, and we were able to explore southern Arizona. This was a home away from home. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an inspirational and beautiful vacation home. Thanks Beth and Robin for all your hospitality as well!

Southern Arizona Gem

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed four nights at this property and we couldn't be happier. The home is gorgeous and the views are unbelievable. This is a perfect home for relaxing and exploring Southern Arizona. The home is very clean and even prettier than the pictures reflect. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a unique retreat in the desert.

Top notch rental

  • 5 of 5

Bill and I had a wonderful 2 month stay at this beautiful house In Jan-Feb of 2013. It was very clean, spacious and had a large kitchen with all the modern appliances. Not enough can be said about the fantistic views. We set up some bird feeders and saw 24 different varities just from the windows including hummingbirds. The price was a steal and we would go back again if we ever had the opportunity. Bill and Peg Burwell

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

We highly recommend this very clean home. This home has everything you could ask for. The state of the art kitchen was well equipped. The home is very spacious and the beds are comfortable as well. The owner was very helpful with local information. She is great to work with, very helpful, and lives close enough to keep an eye on any maintenance needs, so be assured the home is in excellent condition at all times. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here last winter, 2011-2012, for three months and loved the house and the area.

The house is lovely, with a well equipped kitchen, spacious and with comfortable beds and furniture and a delightful vista. The patio is wonderful for outdoor dinning or just enjoying the view. I spent time there practicing T'ai Chi in the mornings.

The area, near Tubac, offers many activities and is close to interesting canyons, caverns and a thriving artistic community. It is close to Nogales where there are many shops and, of course, the Mexican border.

Location

Come explore beautiful Santa Cruz County. We are a short 12 minute drive from the art galleries, shops and restaurants in Tubac. A leisurely drive through beautiful scenery brings you to the Arizona wine country. Within 8 minutes is a restored Spanish mission. We are a little less than an hour from Tucson. There are at least 15 public golf courses with 10-25 minutes from the house, and Santa Cruz County is a nature lover's paradise - one of the best bird watching areas in the US.
