The apartment is unique for its historical architecture: being on the top floor, the original wooden beams of the 1735 listed building are exposed, and with windows on each side, this creates an amazingly light space.
The apartment consists of two floors on the 5th and 6th floor of the building. When entering the apartment, the kitchen, dining room and bathroom are on the first floor. One floor up is the spacious living room with high ceilings, from where a second stair leads to the first bedroom in the mezzanine, and a second bedroom on the same floor. The sofa in the living room becomes a comfy two-person bed.
Due to local regulations in Amsterdam, we can only host groups of 4 or less.
The building is part of the UNESCO heritage listed Canal Belt, circling the Medieval city center. The location is both a perfect gateway to explore the Amsterdam night life (the Rembrandt Square area is famous for its many cafes and restaurants, and the city's main gay streets are literally around the corner), as well as other cultural highlights, such as museums, parks, and historical neighbourhoods.
Tramlines 9 and 4 stop around the corner, connecting to Central Station in 10 minutes. There is a metro-stop at 5 minutes walking, connecting to Central Station in 3 minutes, and to the cities other main train stations (Amstel, Zuid, etc). However, everything is in walking distance (e.g. Central Station is a pleasantly 30 minutes walk) or in easy reach by bike. If you want to rent a bike, I will happily help you out.
