Such a great location and fun setup!
Stayed in this great rental only one night, but enjoyed the heck out of it. Walking distance to Broad Ripple’s best spots. Renovated space is unique, clean, functional. Bruce is one of the all-time great hosts. He has to be as he in close proximity and cares enough to give his guests a personal touch. I would give Bruce six stars, and his place five stars.
Thank you Matt for your kind review. I hope yo come back sometime!!!
Fantastic house, fantastic host, fantastic area!
Bruce was great, very friendly and accommodating.
A lot of amenities you might not expect as this was previously a home business. There are actually parking spaces in the back so there is no concern over room to park like many home rentals. Parking is also gated and fenced so no concerns over security. Space is segregated so it is very private.
The area is chock full of great restaraunts and bars within easy walking distance. Our stay was Wednesday through Sunday and we ate someplace different every night. If Bruce suggests Biscuits for breakfast I highly recommend you listen (if he doesn't suggest it I will!).
Only minor thing to be aware of is that the kitchen is not a full kitchen. It is perfectly serviceable with a portable electric cooktop, microwave, minifridge, toaster oven, etc... But if you're looking to bake some cookies or roast a turkey you aren't going to be able to.
I'd highly recommend this property and will be looking to book again for my yearly trip to Indianapolis.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you too. Please come back when it works for you!!
The location was a 10!
The owner was very accommodating and helpful to us.
The unit is spacious and beds are comfy.
We hope to return next year!
Thank you so much! Please do come back!
A trully enjoyable Indy 500 weekend only thanks to Bruce
It was the first time attending the Indy 500 for my son and I. A prime bucket list item for both of us. When we arrived at Bruce's house, we received a warm welcome and were shown the apartment and received the promise that if there was anything that we needed, all we had to do was ask. We did not have to ask for anything as anything we needed, and more was available. This was a very hot Memorial weekend, but Bruce's place was air conditioned at just the right temperature.
We arrived Thursday afternoon. The house is within an easy ten minutes walk to various restaurants and bars. His back patio provided for a great place to relax after coming back from dinner. Although Bruce is a guy one could have hours of enjoyable conversation with, he provided total privacy - we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
As to the racing, we enjoyed Carb Day - great Indy Lights racing - very exciting. Unfortunately, this was the most boring Indy 500 race I have ever seen. The cars were spread out by at least 1+ seconds, with every driver happy to be in procession. There were a few nice passes, but mostly within the back markers. Unlike the Indy Lights Race, where the lead was being exchanged at least once per lap, the 500 race had no challenges for the lead. The only passing was done in the pits. As a an ex-race driver, I was dumbfounded.
Regardless, it was a great experience, but mostly thanks to having such a great place to stay.
Thank you Bruce - you are an excellent host.
Mario and Adrian
Thank you Mario and Adrian! I am glad you enjoyed the visit. Hopefully you will give the race another try. I also wish we had more time to sit and chat. I could tell you both had many stories to share and I love sharing good stories. Please reach out if you come back to Indy!
Comfortable cottage feel for 3 people
This is actually a basement, so it can be cooler. Bruce was very accommodating to us, as we come from a much warmer climate. The space itself is appointed quite cleverly. There is a more private bedroom area, a kitchen area, living room area, and then another area that can be considered a bedroom area. The 2nd bedroom area is not private. We were there on business so it did not really matter but if you are a couple it may matter. Additionally the only bathroom is nearest the 2nd bedroom area so it really does not feel private, if that matters to you.
The best part of this rental is the owner. Bruce is very accommodating and very reachable. He has thought of all kinds of amenities and If we needed anything, or had any questions, we could either call or text him and get an immediate response. We will definitely be returning to stay with him as long as he will have us.
Thank you. Hope to meet you in person next time you visit!
Bruce is super nice and hospitable. His place was comfortable and just what we needed for a quick trip into town.
Thank you Lisa! I appreciate your visit. You are welcome anytime!
