Overview

About the property

Offered by US based London Connection. 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment.

A Mayfair vacation rental between Curzon Street and Piccadilly/Green Park has to be perfect! And this one bedroom apartment is just that–wonderful! Berkeley Square is two blocks away. Green Park and on to Buckingham Palace is just down the Street. The fabulous shops of Mayfair are just out the door. A wonderful walk would be down Clarges Street to Piccadilly, through Green Park to Buckingham Palace and on through St James’s Park to the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and Westminster Pier on the River Thames. Some of the best shops in London are in the neighborhood of this property: Old Bond, Philip Mould on Dover Street, tie shops on Maddox Street, clothing on Saville Row, and the most fabulous jewels on Albemarle Street and New Bond Street. GREEN PARK TUBE STATION is just at the end of the Road–on the Piccadilly Line, the most central line in London. It could not be better located. This wonderful Mayfair vacation rental is located on the first floor of a period building at the top of Clarges Street, just off Charles Street and has easy access to all the amenities around Berkeley Square: groceries, banking, fine art shops, and excellent clubs and restaurants. My favorite Middle Eastern snack bar is just around the corner, and when I am hungry for spicy food, that’s where I go. This is one of the best neighborhoods of London.

There is a PRIVATE ELEVATOR from the entrance lobby directly into the flat. The LOUNGE is a good size with nice pieces of antique furniture and decorative items. There is a wonderful 17th century drop leaf table for dining and amazing antique Victorian chairs. To learn more about the furnishings, read the Anglophile blog article on our website. The open plan KITCHEN has all machines of the highest standard: hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. The washer/dryer is in the bathroom cupboard. The BEDROOM is comfortable, good size, and lined with closet space and offers a large UK KING size bed, side tables, and good lighting. MASTER BATHROOM is EN SUITE and has a shower over the tub with wash hand basin and loo–beautiful equipment. There is a gent’s loo with a sink and loo in the hall, giving a SECOND TOILET STATION for busy mornings. After last summer’s heat wave in London, the good news is the accommodation benefits from AIR CONDITIONING! Fantastic. There is a private phone, TV, and WiFi for a visitor’s comfort. This apartment that sleeps 2 is outstanding, in a good location, and is absolutely newly refurbished. If you are in this budget and want to be in this outstanding location, this is Mayfair London vacation rental is perfect. Nice.

5 night minimum for most reservations. 3 nights considered within 30 days of arrival.

Discounted monthly prices available.

Guestbook comments from the manager

As you know, I've booked apartments with you for several years and have never been disappointed. The reservation process was smooth and trouble free.

This property was particularly well located in Shepherd's Market at the end of a dead end street (with a parking garage at the end which was not noisy at all) in Mayfair, which is the museum, theatre and shopping heart of London. The unit was well furnished and decorated, and full of light during the day. The kitchen was efficient and well stocked, and the bathroom was spacious with plenty of counter space and the washer/dryer. I particularly appreciated the efficient heater - I turned off the heat while away during the day and at night - and when I turned it back on the apartment was warm within minutes. The area is very quiet at night.

There were numerous good restaurants within steps of the unit, and the three block walk to Green Park underground was safe and easily traversed within minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay and as usual, Christina and Ricardo were helpful and informative. LondonConnections is my first referral to friends interested in traveling to London, and I hope they take advantage of services you offer.

Exceptional location, great space, and extremely professionally managed.

  • 5 of 5

This Mayfair apartment is located near Green Park Station, dozens of quality cafes and restaurants, and is within a healthy walking distance of Piccadilly, Oxford Circus, and the West End Theaters. The 2-screen Curzon Mayfair cinema is a block away as is the Michelin starred Murano (which we highly recommend.)

This large 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment is exceptionally well-equipped (washer/dryer, microwave, good air conditioning, windows that open, many outlets for electronics, lots of closet and storage space, full-size refrigerator). We've stayed at many apartments in London, Paris, New York and Florence, and this is now our favorite. Management is highly organized, and although they made themselves available, we didn't really need them because they took such good care of everything upfront. We only stayed five nights but hope to come back for weeks at a time--there is so much to see in London and this is a perfect place for slow travel--very comfortable to live in, but still easy to use as base for sightseeing.

Mayfair Apartment

  • 4 of 5

It is our favorite location in London. You couldn't find a better spot. We walked for miles around the city which is what we like to do while in London. This was our fourth stay in Mayfair. The apartment was a great size. Christina was extremely helpful. Fabulous restaurants nearby. Particularly liked Sexy Fish. The only concern we had was that we felt the living room was over decorated with too many items. But that is a personal preference.

Perfect location to explore central London

  • 5 of 5

Ideally located with tasteful furnishings; rooms were of a generous size and wonderfully equipped with everything youneed to be comfortable. Nice restaurants, close to transportation, fabulous shopping and sightseeing at your doorstep. Walking through the parks was amazing.

This trip may be habit forming! We can't wait to go back.

Gem in Mayfair

  • 5 of 5

How can we add to all of the positive comments in previous reviews? Simply said, we concur with all of the wonderful descriptions made about this flat. We have rented properties in France, The UK, and The United States over many, many years, and this Mayfair flat is the best of all of them. We spent 12 nights here in January, 2017 and are already trying to find a time when we can return. The location, as noted by everyone, is fabulous, with so many of the sights of London within short walking distance. Our favorite walk one day was across Green Park to Buckingham Palace, up the Mall to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, Across the Thames to the London Eye, and then back to head up Whitehall to Trafalgar Square. We walked to Covent Garden and Soho several times and up to Oxford Street to shop at the Marks and Spencer Food Hall, where they have wonderful delicacies that you can simply heat up in the flat for delicious dinners. If you prefer eating out, there are wonderful restaurants within minutes of the flat. We ate breakfast in everyday, and lunches and dinner out about half of the time.

The rental process was flawless and the London agent, Cristina, was a delight to work with. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay at the Clarges flat. We will return and we hope soon!

Note: This information will at one time be dated, but if you have a chance to see "Kinky Boots" and "Half a Six Pence" you will not be disappointed. They are fabulous.
