3 days in Paradise
Beautiful place, beautiful house with a spectacular view. Very peaceful and quiet. We had a great time.
Mr. Jack thank you for taking some time to do a review.
It makes us happy to know that our guests enjoy the stay.
Ana and Francisco
A beautiful house and location, a little off the beaten track with a brilliant host.
Pre arrival, communication with Ana was prompt and clear, even providing details of a supermarket to call at near the airport. Ana was flexible with check in time, and Francisco was at the meeting point to guide us to the property. The first time you go there, it can be a little daunting in a small hire car, but you get used to it.
The house was clean and had everything you would need. The one thing it didn't have ( a kettle), appeared an hour after mentioning it to Ana - thank you.
Ana provided tips about places to visit and places to eat and events worth going to that were taking place.
Although off the beaten track, it is near enough to all 'the sights' although you do need a car. A two minute walk to the swimming area and a five minute walk back (uphill).
Great WIFI (better than the UK), hammock that you couldn't get teenage children out of within range of the WiFi.
All was as described in the description on the website, but what made the place special was Ana's hospitality and flexibility, giving us gorgeous grapes from her garden, taking us to her family's farm to see banana trees (we don't have them in the UK), and taking time to chat about the Azores and the issues they face.
Thank you to Ana and Francisco for a great time and great hospitality.
Perfect for family of Six
Ana was a great host. She met us on the main street to escort us to the exact house location with bakery cakes in hand. House is fully equipped. It is very roomy for our family of 6. The view was amazing! ! Neighborhood is quiet but you will be surprised by the nightbird sounds. We thought the location was perfect for exploring. Neighborhood natural swimming pool at the oceanside is only a short 3 minute walk downhill and in plain site of the house. We felt at home and would love to visit again.
Loved the porch and views of the ocean and Goat Island (split rocks).
A perfect place to relax, though we didn't do much of that. Hammock was very inviting, but had to fight for it with my granddaughter. Location was convenient to access entire island with not too much driving time. House was equipped with everything we needed and Ana was very helpful with suggestions for things to see and places to eat. Would not hesitate to go back.
Remote and wild with a great view! But still close enough to everything.
Beautiful Home - Will look to stay here again in the Future.
My wife and two kids (both under the age of 5) recently stayed here for two weeks. It was really a perfect place for us. Ana and Francisco were very accommodating and even went as far as providing a crib for my daughter to sleep in and having some toys around the house for them to play with. The view is as good as it gets in Terceira and it is very peaceful to just sit on the patio and take it all in. The swimming area is easily accessible with a short walk.
We went during San Joaninas - it is the perfect spot to be close enough to the festivities but far enough to get some relaxation.
I had a little trouble finding the correct road the first day but Francisco helped me out and it was easy after that.
My only note is that if you are traveling with little kids , you have to keep an eye on them if they are outside because the house is up on a hill, but not a big deal at all.
We shopped at the local super market Guarita, which is down the principal road in Porto Judeu. Also nice to be close to that.
Overall it is really a premier location on the island and I would recommend it to anyone. I will be looking to stay here again when returning to Terceira.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking good care of house.
You are always welcome.
