Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday barn in Mole Valley - The Barn

3 Bedroom barn conversion in idyllic rural setting

The barn, a former farm building, has been rebuilt and recently converted into an attractive, comfortable holiday cottage and offers a well-equipped kitchen dining room with oak beams and a stone wall, a comfortable sitting room, bedroom (with large double bed) and shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two attic bedrooms: one double and one twin, and a further shower room. The property forms one side of a range of agricultural buildings in what was the old farmyard. This yard is now an attractive courtyard garden, with lawn area and table and chairs for al fresco dining. The courtyard is adjacent to the owners’ listed home. Many miles of open country and woodland of The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surround the property. The area is ideal for walking riding and biking and although quiet and rural enjoys easy access to Westcott village, and the historic market town of Dorking. With easy access by train to London, and good road access to the South of England and coast, the property is ideal as a base visiting this part of England.

The cottage was, very clean, tastefully furnished and comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, three days preparing for our daughters wedding and entertaining family. Although the living area is quite small there was plenty of space for our "brood".

Thank you, for meeting us on arrival and checking everything was okay on the wedding morning, we had a very pleasant stay.

A superb location and view over the Surrey Hills. Plenty of parking space. A friendly welcome and warm comfortable rooms with good standard shower rooms. We enjoyed a lovely stay for our daughter's wedding.

A great stay in a cosy cottage - highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a very lovely and cosy stay here. The property was easy to get to and there was a good amount of parking available. The barn itself was spotlessly clean and well laid out. The attic rooms have low ceilings so listen to the advice of the ad!

There were lots of little extras Chris had included for our stay: milk, tea towels, soaps and shower gel, fresh flowers and a selection of board games (and so many more little essentials) . And a had welcome pack that let's you know the local sites and opening times of the nearest shops. It was thoughtful details like this that made the stay fantastic.

I would highly recommend this property.

Excellent well equipped cosy and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and well maintained. Fresh eggs and wine on arrival.

Had a super week with our daughter son in law and grandchildren very convenient for train to London and various other leisure parks etc.

Also quiet and in the heart of the countryside.

Will probably come again.

A cosy, comfortable and sparklingly clean cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our weekend break at the cottage and it suited our group of 4 adults perfectly. On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped. The showers are powerful with plenty of hot water, and there's sufficient storage space. The ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms (particularly the twin) are low, as noted in the property description. There's plenty of parking outside, and a private and gated garden for warmer days. It's a very peaceful and rural area. The property is well located for exploring, we enjoyed popping into Dorking (10 minutes drive) and exploring around Box Hill (15 minutes drive). From the cottage there's a network of paths which took us up to Leith Hill (1 hour walk) and the hot chocolate and flapjack is recommended at the top - stunning views.

Dorking is a historic market town with a wide range of shops and restaurants, and has a railway station with a frequent service to London. There are several National Trust properties in the area, including Leith Hill Tower, the highest point in Southern England.
