A modern, fully equipped town house over four floors with great sea views from the front bedrooms. Situated within 400 yd of the renowned Crooklets Beach and National Trust coastline Upper Deck is perfect for families looking for a clean, light and airy house close to the beach and within a short walk of the town. Four bedrooms, two en suite, two further bathrooms (one on the ground floor for ease when coming in off the beach) help make this a great house for holidaying with family or friends. A children's room with TV and board games for when you are indoors and the children want entertaining. The Bude & North Cornwall links golf course is within a couple of minutes' walk and we can arrange membership during your stay at reduced rates. Babysitting can be easily arranged as can reservations for restaurants, outdoor activities and other events. There are good pubs and restaurants within a very short walk and Crooklets Beach recently won the Sunday Times Best Sunset of the Year Award.
The house is spacious and modern with 4 very good size double bedrooms all well fitted out with modern furniture. It also has 4 bathroom/shower rooms which is big plus. The lounge and kitchen area are bright and comfortable. There are great sea views in some rooms and views over the nearby golf course in others. It has a garden accessed from the lounge/kitchen where you can have a barbecue and drinks overlooking the golf course. There's also a games room on the ground floor for the kids or even the parents!! Its just a few minutes walk from the beach which is great if you are a surfer as you can just carry your board to/from the beach. It has easy access to the coastal path if you are walker. There's also a shower room on the ground floor which is brilliant when you come off the beach covered in sand or in a wet suit. Its also not far from the centre of town where there are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants and a well known supermarket. I would have no problem in recommending this house to friends and family. It easily accommodates 8 people. Bude has plenty to offer including tennis, golf, coastal walking, surfing or just lazing on the beach.
From the outset we knew we were going to have a delightful holiday. The welcome was warm and the house has every convenience to make a real home away from home. We have enjoyed numerous walks from the house and cannot fault its location in any way. We will definitely come again and hopefully soon and will readily recommend Saltys to all our friends and acquaintances.
We have visited Bude on many occasions using Elite West Holidays to book our stays and have holidayed in Salty's previously. What always amazes and delights us is that even though we holiday close to the end of a very busy season the house is always well presented, beautifully clean, well maintained and has everything we need to enable our holiday to run smoothly. Salty’s location is just a stone’s throw away from Crooklets beach and every morning it was a joy to wake up and stand out on the balcony looking out to sea and smelling the lovely salty sea air, before heading off for a walk along the coastal path and then back to The Olive Tree for our mid-morning coffee and cake. Salty’s is also ideal for access to Summerleaze beach and the sea pool and with the handy downstairs shower room makes returning from an afternoon of body boarding nice and easy. Wet suits were easy to dry by leaving them out in the enclosed garden and then bringing them in at night and hanging them in the handy utility room, which was always nice and warm and dried them a treat. The games room was ideal for the children in our group as it gave them a great hang out space away from the ‘annoying adults’, which was well equipped with a TV and football table, which occasionally was commandeered by said annoying adults for the ‘great Bude football challenge 2015’. We would highly recommend using Elite West Holidays and Salty’s is a lovely modern house by the sea, which we are sure to visit again and possible again and again!!!
Lovely property in a good position for beach and shops in Bude.
The views were beautiful, especially watching the sunsets from the property and the beach, which was just a five minute walk.
We would like to thank Nick for the ease of booking and for the lovely week. We were all sorry to leave at the end of our week.
Property ideally located and in perfect order. Nice welcome and excellent service from agents. We have stayed here and in the adjacent sister property a number of times and always come back for the beach, walks, golf etc.
We stayed in Salty's over New Year 2009/2010 - there were 2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids (all aged 7-10).
The house was perfect for our needs with plenty of space downstairs for the kids to do what they want whilst we enjoyed comfort & relative peace and quiet on the floor above.
Bedrooms were clean and tidy with excellent beds - we have had bad experiences elsewhere with poor mattresses and so are very conscious of a good bed!
The house was always warm and comfortable. The excellent utility room ensured that clothes, even from the muddiest of walks, were cleaned & dried with ease & without the whole place looking like a chinese laundry.
The location was also great - close to the beach and great coastal walks whilst also ideal for a quick trip to the nearby Sainsbury's or other smaller shops in town.
Bude is well placed for trips along the north coast and down to the south - trips to the panto in Plymouth and Eden near Truro were great successes with the journeys not as far as we had initially feared.
We highly recommend Salty's!
