Excellent swimming centre in Bagni di Lucca
The stone house, a landmark in the village, is centrally heated and has been fully renovated and furnished to the highest standard. 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). Carrara marble, eat-in kitchen with Aga gas & electric stove, large living room with open fire and a spectacular, separate, formal dining room. A stunning garden courtyard for outside dining, completes the picture. Everything is supplied for a comfortable stay, smart TV, DVD player, CD player with IPOD jack, quality bed linen, towels, electric blankets, hair dryers, cooking/eating equipment and free WiFi internet.
Bagni di Lucca (about 20 minutes away) 40 mins from the Abetone Ski Resort. Vico Pancellorum is fortunate in modern times to be the home of the renowned restaurant, the Buca di Baldabò, where exquisite meals may be enjoyed at modest prices. The restaurant is about a 5 minute walk from the house, along the narrow cobbled streets. Day trips may easily be made to Pisa, Florence, Bologna and the walled City of Lucca with its designer shops, monthly antique market, wonderful Piazzas and many fine restaurants, bars & cafes to wet the appetite, not to mention Cinque Terre, Barga and the beaches at Viareggio. Bagni di Lucca provides all local shopping facilities, as well as an attractive swimming pool complex. Marked walking trails lead to Balzo Nero, Croce di Castello and other places.
