A 180-degree, unobstructed view of the craggy isles of the Meis (Kastellorizo) archipelago spreads out before the sunny terrace and private infinity-edge pool at Villa Lacivert. Located on the beautiful Cukurbag Peninsula, 4 km from the seaside resort town of Kas, the villa features 4 bedrooms (1 double and 3 twin rooms), sleeping up to 8 people. Each bedroom opens to a terrace with gorgeous sea views, and each has its own bathroom. The villa also has wireless internet access; TV, DVD and CD player; comfortable salon and dining room and separate toilet; modern kitchen with granite counters, cooking hob, oven refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher; and laundry room with washing machine. All rooms with AC. The pool-side terrace is entirely screened from neighboring properties, has ample room for sunbathing, and a shaded pergola for outdoor dining. A stairway leads you down to the sea, where a naturally secluded, level seaside ledge and swim ladder allow for idyllic Mediterranean swims.
Access to Kas: Renters may wish to rent a car, as the villa is located approximately 4 km from the town of Kas. However, a car may not be necessary, as a minibus (approx. 1.75 TL per person) runs every half hour in summer, between Kas and a stop on main road a few minutes walk from the villa. Cars and drivers can easily be hired to carry renters to tourist sites around Kas, and numerous travel agencies in Kas also provide transportation and guidance to many tourist sites.
We (two families from Toronto and Paris) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and very spacious villa, right at the tip of the Kas peninsula, with unobstructive views of the Aegean Sea (there are no buildings in front of the villa, just a rocky path leading to the water in a few minutes). And the pool is the best part: amazing experience to be in an infinity pool with the water blending in with the sea! The place was very clean and everything worked well. The owners gave us helpful tips on nearby day trips. Kas is a lovely small town, with mainly local tourists. We went diving with Nautilus, did the Kekova tour, swam in the waves at Patara and enjoyed the mountain villages. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something very special.
We can't say enough about this place. It has everything you could possibly need and the views are breathtaking! Imagine you and your family and friends on a balcony with 180 degree views of sea and islands, and nothing in between but the occasional ship cruising by. You really can forget about the world here.
This home was all that we needed for a multigenerational holiday for our family of six. Good, well equipped spacious kitchen and lovely, shaded outdoor eating area. Comfortable beds and clean en suite bathrooms. It is a steep climb to the sea access but well worth the effort as the sea was lovely even late in the season. We enjoyed this accommodation thoroughly.
I hope to return to Villa Lacivert again and again. I would have liked to keep it as our secret but I had to tell people it is heaven. The views are stunning and can compare with the best in the world. The villa has everything you need for a wonderful relaxed holiday. The owner and Mehmet, who looks after the villa and the renters, are very approachable and friendly. Mehmet even bought the fresh bread every morning.
The photos do not do the villa justice. It has to be seen to be believed. It is beautifully clean and well cared for in and out.
The drive is very steep and takes some getting used to but once you have done it a few times it is quite exhilarating and the destination is so worth it! Some might find the steps up from the sea platforms arduous but we appreciated the exercise making it easier to justify the wonderful food we found in Kas.
If you are looking for a place to stay on Kas Peninsula don't bother to look further than Villa Lacivert.
Having never really rented a villa before, it was difficult to know what to expect, but Villa Lacivert delivered in every department. As one reviewer said, the pictures dont quite do it justice! Additionally it really does have the best view on the Peninsula and no other house overlooks it. A real find.
Everything was meticulously maintained, clean and neat (including the gardens), and if anything went wrong, Mehmet was on hand to deal with it. One night, we couldnt switch the oven on, I texted the owner (realising it was 6am his time) and got an instant response. Great service!
The only challenge I encountered was the steep drive to the road, but, once mastered, no problem.
Kas is a fantastic place, thoroughly recommended is the paragliding onto the town quay and a trip to the Saklikent Gorge, near Patara.
The villa is located on the sunny, breeze-cooled Cukurbag Peninsula, on the majestic Lycian coast of Turkey about 4 km from the quaint seaside town of Kas. The unobstructed 180-degree view from the villa looks out over the deep-blue Mediterranean Sea, toward the Greek island of Kastellorizo (Meis), 5 km offshore. Kas is a popular and modern tourist paradise, which has retained the charming feel of a fishing village. It is the perfect tourist hub, within an easy drive of many ancient ruins, the vast unspoiled beach at Patara, and outdoor activity destinations.
