Situated just a few steps from the village square, our house is ideally located for all local amenities. Our house is ideal for larger families or groups, but can also accommodate small families and couples. On the ground floor, you will find a traditional arched entrada, tiled staircase, cozy kitchen and courtyard. There are 4 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plus salon and a bright, spacious studio. Last but not least, there is a roof terrace with spectacular views of the Tramuntana mountains and Puig Major - a perfect place to relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of Fornalutx village life!
Changeover days: Changeover days can be flexible - so please ask. If we have guests arriving on the day that you leave, you may be asked to check out by 10am, although you are welcome to leave your luggage at the house during the day.
We love Mallorca all year round - sitting in front of the fire in Winter, hiking in Spring and Autumn and hitting the beach in Summer.
Lemons and Oranges purchased this house in 2008
It has a very authentic local character, and the view from the roof terrace is amazing.
Just a quick note to say that we really enjoyed our stay at your house. On our arrival, we found Rosa to be very welcoming and very helpful. Fornalutz is a beautiful place and it was great to return to your house at the end of the day after our various excursions. It was also nice to be near the main square for when we wanted to eat out or just while away an hour in one of the Bar/Restaurants.
We loved the house and Rosa who manages the home was so friendly and helpful.
We felt very much at home.
Please Miguel could you put a rail or bannister to get up to the terrace as some of us suffer from vertigo.
We do hope to come back soon.
We had a friend who has lived in the village for many years, so it was great to just pop out of the house to meet Veronica for coffee.
We loved the square and visited lots of the restaurants. All were very good.
The house was clean and everything worked fantastically.
This was my fifth visit to Sa Costera the last time being in 2012.
Since then the beautiful house of Amy/ Miguel has had a number of improvements especially the addition of a new en suite shower/toilet
All additions have been lovingly done in the traditional manner
This time I was there in the first week of September and Fornalutx had a week of festivities which included a tethered bull being chased through the main thoroughfare and also entertainment every day eg traditional dancers, singers, school brass band etc
My review in 2012 outlined the enjoyment from walking the promenade in Port de Soller. This time I went back and found that it has become an even better experience with improved pavement, many more restaurants and bars, and the tram now runs along the whole beach area
Thanks once again Amy/Miguel for the invitation to visit and enjoy your house and area
We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay. The property is comfortably equipped and we enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace in the evenings. The property was clean and well maintained with good local services a short walk away, and would recommend it to friends and relatives.

We absolutely loved Fornalutx. And should we be so lucky to come back to Mallorca, there would only be one house for us - Sa Costera.
It is like a treasure chest, so authentically and warm , we felt at home right away.
The3 location could not be better, parking was no problem, the weather was fantastic. One of the best holidays we ever had.
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful house!

My friends and me enjoyed our one-week stay at the pretty house of Amy and Miguel very much! We loved cooking in the cute citchen, chatting in the little patio and chillig out at the roof terrasse. From there you look over the old houses of beautiful Fornalutx and one has a good view on the Tramuntana mountains. Beeing equipped with everything necessary for feeling comfortable in the house, it's like being at home - just quieter ;)
With renting a car (recommended!) we could easily explore the island. The detailed information provided by Amy and Miguel helped us a lot for the orientation.
If possible, we definitely will come back!
Thanks a lot for everything and best wishes from Leipzig, Germany!
(Prädikat: besonders wertvoll und absolut empfehlenswert!)
The house is situated just off the heart of the local square. It boasts beauty, tranquility, convenience but also safety. We were happy to allow our seven year old and (very young) thirteen year old out on their own to buy fresh pastries and fruits for breakfast every day. You are at the heart of this very picturesque traditional village square within a few seconds walk from the house. The square offers a couple of coffee shops, a bakery, convenience store (where the children bought carrier bays of fresh fruit everyday for just a few euros), some nice restaurants and a very pretty church. We had no problems entertaining the children during our stay at all and the locals were very welcoming and friendly. The house itself is very traditional Catalan in its style and design. It is very spacious and yet maintains an almost intimate feel to it. We loved our holiday there and will certainly stay there again, in fact our seven year old was in floods of tears as she really did not want to leave (certainly something that I have never seen her do before).
I would definitely recommend this house for a holiday to anybody at all (unless you struggle with stairs). We loved every second of our stay and are looking forward to returning next year.
Situated in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana (a UNESCO world heritage site), in a spectacular valley that starts from the Puig Major and descends towards Soller, Fornalutx has been described as 'the prettiest village in Spain'. Set in a tranquil valley of orange and lemon orchards, Fornalutx is only 15 minutes away from a sandy beach at Port de Soller, and half an hour from the beautiful city of Palma. The area around Fornalutx is particularly popular with cyclists and hikers who enjoy exploring the wide selection of nearby trails. The village itself is very picturesque and has won several awards for conservation. The pretty village square is surrounded by an old church and several cafes, and the village boasts a number of very good restaurants serving local and continental food.
