About Diane McIntosh
I moved to Beaufort from the Pennsylvania Amish country to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the coast and the sunshine. Living in Beaufort has renewed my spirit and introduced me to many new friends, while allowing me to share the beauty of my new adopted home town with my friends from Pennsylvania. I have always enjoyed entertaining and decorating, so my cozy cottage in Beaufort allows me to indulge my favorite pastimes.
Diane McIntosh purchased this Cottage in 2011
Why Diane McIntosh chose Pigeon Point
My husband and I vacationed in Beaufort a few years ago and fell in love with the historic charm of the town, its friendly, welcoming people, the wonderful waterfront restaurants and the natural beauty of Beaufort by the sea. This is a magical place to begin a new life! Unfortunately, My husband passed away in January 2011, so I made the "big move" alone. I know he would be proud of what I have been able to accomplish.
What makes this Cottage unique
I love to sit on my cottage's porches and enjoy the river breezes, the shade of the huge old Live Oak trees draped in Spanish moss, and the peace and tranquility of my river neighborhood. The Pigeon Point dock and deck are less than a ten minute walk, you can catch a sunrise if you are an early bird, and if not, just turn around for a beautiful sunset to the west. No matter when you are there, be sure to keep an eye out for the playful dolphins.
Smoking inside the cottage is not permitted.

A true gem of the south
About as picture perfect as one could ask for. True southern charm in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Beaufort. Thank you for an excellent stay. Look forward to returning in the future.
Thank you so much… And thank you for the gift… Look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Beaufort… Sincerely Diane
Great stay in Pigeon Point
This rental was great for a quick solo getaway with my two dogs. The neighborhood was very walkable and close to downtown Beaufort. The rental was very cute, clean, and comfortable. I would stay there again!
Great, thank you....I look forward to your next visit
Quaint, dog friendly, cottage
This property was as described. You enter a picket-fenced garden, through a latching gate, into an area teeming with flowers, butterflies, and birds, and make your way to the front door. It is a tiny cottage, but my adult daughter, myself, and two small dogs (and their crate) found it very comfy. We used the kitchen and found items we needed to prepare the meals. All items were clean and in working order. The shower head was nice and tall so I didn't have to bend to wash my hair. The bathroom was stocked with body wash, shampoo, and hand soap, as well as plenty of toilet paper. The air worked well and while we were there, it was a full southern mid-90s outside. The outdoor living space was comfortable and well done. We didn't enjoy it as much as we will when we return in cooler weather. It is within walking distance to the water, where we saw dolphins daily, and a short drive to anything else you may want to do in the area. Highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a lot of space. It was just right for us!
You folks and pups were so quiet .... thank you so much for reviewing the Cottage.... so glad you enjoyed the flowers as well as the birds… Beaufort has just been such a magical place for me in the last eight years since my husband died… I am so glad to have had you as guests and look forward to your next visit sincerely, Diane
So cute!! I mentioned to Diane that whoever decorated the cottage was a cross.between Joann Gaines
Clean and close to town, great dog walking neighborhood. Don’t forget to utilize the pass to Hunting Island, paradise of the south. Take a minute to speak with Diane, a true good egg!
