I'M A PARISIAN FOODIE AND GOURMET GUIDE

I was born in the Dordogne wine producing area in the South of France and moved to Paris in 1999. I discovered the Aligre area in 2006 and have never wanted to move elsewhere. This area hosts the second oldest open air market in Paris, and it is opened every day but Monday. It has also become one of the hottest places for Gourmet shops... and restaurants. Many of my clients confessed over the years they dreamt of being able to stay in such an authentically and lively gourmet neighborhood, go to the market in the morning, cook... or dine outside. Today, I'm happy to offer my very first two Foodie Homes in this Parisian haven. I hope to welcome you there soon!! I'll share my favourite secret addresses with you, and you'll be able to live like a real Parisian foodie. You might never want to leave ;)

Entirely as Advertised!

Marc is a excellent host. The apartment is quite small, but abundantly equipped for every contingency. My wife and I took our 10 year old grand daughter on her first European vacation. Paris was entirely manageable on foot. Walking from Marc's apartment we traveled to restaurants, Tour Eiffel, Louvre, Aligre Market, Notre Dame, Jardin des Plantes, the Zoo, Tuilleries, Saint Chapelle, Latin Quarter, Gare du Nord, and more. Yielding to our grand daughter, we visited every park and playground nearby. The apartment, though small, can accommodate four people. As I already said, Marc's planning covered everything--from umbrellas in the closet and a vacuum under the bed to coffee and Muesli in the kitchen to soap, shampoo, and fresh towels in the bathroom. Merci beaucoup, Marc. Votre appartement est génial!

lovely cosy place

We stayed for a week in late February/early March. The apartment is as described, compact but very well designed and equiped. It has all that is needed for cooking at home if desired-which we did a few times as the d'Aligre market down the street was simply too tempting. Marc's recommendations for local restaurants were excellent. His follow through during our stay was reassuring. All in all a wonderful neighborhood and a comfortable apartment to stay in.

A wonderful week in Paris

Marc's apartment is compact but very well set out, it literally has everything we could need with a good galley kitchen a complete bathroom, shower, toilet, good hot water and lit vanity and including a washer dryer for clothes washing. Plus a top quality hairdryer.

The separate bedroom has a large double bed which was much more comfortable than ours at home, all in all a great and very reasonably priced base for our exploration of Paris and Marc was the dream host who more than once put himself out to look after us above and beyond.

There is a fantastic market at the end of the street and 3 supermarkets within 5 mins , the Metro is only a casual 5 or 6 min walk away and no shortage of good cafe's and restaurants minutes walk away in all directions, and Marc who is a food writer and does foodie tours of the area, was happy to advise and recommend on all aspects of a 'newbie's' visit to Paris, which helped us enormously. For a couple just great, there is also a couch which folds out to a bed in the small living room so it could house three without any trouble.

The apartment is in a great location and has good security with coded entry at all levels, we found it just great value for money and Marc was just great, we couldn't recommend the whole experience enough , whatever you think you know about Paris multiply it by a hundred and you might be close.

Great Cozy Spot in Great Location

Spent a month in Marc's apartment. Well equipped, nicely maintained and in a great location. Easy 10 min. Walk to Bastille and Gare De Lyon. We're foodies so the small well equipped kitchen was great . Best market in Paris is steps away. Nice shower, lots of hot water. Everything functions as advertised. Marc is a great owner and very hospitable.

Located steps away from the Aligre market, this apartment is very small but the service, cleanliness and facility were superb.

Not a well known area of Paris but oodles to do and see in this area.

DISNEYLAND is also on a direct line. You're off the beaten tracks, in the heart of real Paris, close to all attractions and more.
