Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Casais da Azoia - Casa da Noni

Spendid Villa by the sea to sleep 6 - Azoia near Lisbon

This enchanting self-catering villa is set in a 16 hectares estate, and is fully integrated in this beautiful protected area, where building is very restricted. It is the last house before Cape Espichel, privacy is guaranteed by the extensiveness of the garden and its position. The house is 500m from the sea, which you can view and smell everywhere.

Casa da Noni is located at about 6 km from the well known fishermen's town of Sesimbra; it is an excellent choice to lovers of nature, both the countryside and the sea.

Although the house and its land are private and isolated, all the amenities of the local village of Azoia are only 1km away, making your purchases and local restaurant trips very quick.

The beautiful swimming pool has the sea in the backgrounf and is the perfect spot for lazy afternoons. The beautiful sandy beach of Praia da Foz is only 3km away.

This is the perfect location for a holiday where you can do as little or as much as the mood takes you.

Others facilities: Outside, the beautiful terrace and patio are ideal spots for lazy afternoon, where you can read of contemplate the panorama on a hammock, rocked by the refreshing sea breeze. And of course we have the panoramic swimming pool, completely private as the closest neighbours are quite a way. By the pool there is a little pool house with sunbeds, sunshades and other useful equipment inside.

There is safe shaded parking for 2 cars in the 16 hectare property, which is fully fenced. There is plenty more parking around the house.

The house is set in in a garden of 16 hectares. Its spectacular views of the coast are everchanging with light and natural scenery surrounding you. Wonderful walks can be taken along the sea shore.

The area is covered in wild scented herbs, bringing many aromas and delicious when used in meal preparation. Further, the villa has an extensive biological vegetable garden; help yourself to delicious strawberries, other fruit or vegetables.

Beaches & Nautical sports: 'Praia da Foz' is a fine sand beach, only 3km away, which you can wak or drive to; it is a beautiful unspoilt beach surrounded by cliffs. Further, you can find the beach “Praia das Bicas”, popular for surfing, and 'Praia Rio da Prata'. To the north you'll discover the largest and main beach, “Praia do Meco”, with three miles of white sand and beautiful cliffs. This is the most uninhibited and naturist beach in Portugal. Praia do Meco is so long that if you walk long enough you will always find an uncrowded spot.

On the base of Arrábida mountain you can find various beaches of crystalline water and green hills. Most of these are small coves, with its fine white sand, tranquil waters and special microclimate.

Surfing is popular at “Praia das Bicas” close by. For diving, Portinho de Arrabida beach has of the most interesting diving in Portugal with its grottos and abundant marine life. Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing and can all be practiced in nearby Sesimbra.

Gastronomy, wine tasting and other activities: In a country with such an extensive coastline, it is not surprising that the sea should be one of the main sources of its cuisine. In the many restaurants of Meco, Sesimbra or Setubal, sample all sorts of the most fresh and delicious grilled fish and the best seafood, such as clams, mussels or shrimps.

Portugal's climate and soil, its excellent varieties of traditional grapes and the wisdom and long experience of its vine-growers have all helped to make Portuguese wines amongst the most appreciated. The region of Setúbal, which has given its name to a sweet fortified wine, made from muscadet grape, also produces robust reds and light white wines.

Horses can be hired a few km away for beautiful ridese along the paths by the sea.

Apart from Lisbon, 40km away, Azeitão, Setubal, Palmela and Sesimbra are easily reached, making the self-catering villa an ideal base for unforgettable excursions.

The village of Azoia is 1km away for your daily necessities and local restaurants.

Great location, great vacation

We rented this house for some friends coming from France. They were looking for peace, nature and proximity to the sea: it was a success !!!! The house is very comfortable and spacious. The swimming-pool is very private with wonderful sea view. What made the holiday so special was the owner who is extremely welcoming and lived in France and England, and the biological garden enabled us to eat freshly picked fruit and vegetables every day! Will definitely return

the last house before the ocean

The property is located by the Natural Park of Arrábida, a paradise of Mediterranean vegetation near the Atlantic Ocean. With a pleasant weather all year round, this is a well known region of lovers of nature and peaceful holidays. The special microclimate of this area, which incites the coexistence of diverse and rare species of fauna and flora, allows one to fully enjoy nature. History and the passing of time left in this region a remarkable trail of medieval castles, renascence palaces, splendid manors, churches, chapels, convents and sanctuary that allow a meeting with the past. The castles of Sesimbra, Palmela and Setúbal were, in the middle age, part of the defence line of the Setúbal peninsula. These monumental fortresses are worthy of your visit. Isolated in the middle of cape Espichel, rises the monumental pilgrimage sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo built in the 17th century and classified as national heritage.

All the area is protected so nature is beautifully preserved

Golf: Portugal is a paradise where the golfer can play almost every day of the year. Quinta do Peru Golf and Aroeira Gold are a short drive away and other courses are nearby.
