Enter off wide Louisiana Avenue with its beautifully landscaped median and 100 year old live Oaks into the front garden with tinkling fountain, Ginger and Camellia. Comfy couches and chairs rest on covered front patio to relax while staying dry in the rain overlooking the Avenue.

Stepping out the rear patio French doors awaits a vibrant garden of lemon, grapefruit, Satsuma, banana, hibiscus, bougainvillea, and palms surrounding the cool clear dipping pool and hot tub spa (both kept open year round available for guests use) shaded under the pergola covered in Jasmine. Large comfy couches and chairs create a carpeted Zen-like seating area. Relax in the Key West hammock. NEWLY INSTALLED!!-Covered Gourmet Outdoor Kitchen with granite counter top, built in gas grill, side-burner and refrigerator. Ready for your outdoor BBQ party!

2 Bedrooms: Master one w/plush super comfy queen bed and a twin bed, flat screen TV, extra large closet. Front bedroom has three twin size beds adjacent to each other to create queen size bed or can be separated. Front bedroom also has a twin size sleeper sofa that opens to create another bed in the front bedroom. Ceiling fans throughout.

Enter the great room-modern fully equipped kitchen with granite island and seating for 3, dinning room with large beautiful oak table with seating for 8 and living room with large U shaped sectional sofa (also has full size pull out bed). 42” Flat screen television with cable and stereo with IPod connection. Large full bathroom with deep tub/shower combination, and washer/dryer. Plenty of soft towels, linens, pillows and unlimited hot water throughout. Private outdoor shower and toilet. Wireless internet throughout house and yards. Central AC/heat. Outdoor Gas Grill. 2 bicycles usually available. House professionally cleaned before each guest arrival. Pets and children OK with approval.

I love to help tourists enjoy the best of my lovely city and can suggest both day and nightlife adventures. Excellent location for Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's day as you can walk to all parades!!!

The uptown tropical oasis is perfectly named, a surprising, beautiful area to relax and enjoy hot New Orleans afternoons while still being in a fantastic location. The house provided everything you could ask for and was very comfortable, definitely highly recommended.

Unique, comfortable, and amazing unit in a great location!!!

The indoor space is clean, open, and very comfortable! It's spacious with plenty of seating. Kitchen and Bath are excellent! But the outdoor space is really the star... it is very private. Pool is small, but excellent for lounging and cooling off on a hot day. We spent most afternoons lounging by the pool and hot tub with drinks, listening to music and napping in the hammock. We would then walk over to Magazine St (5 min) with our two dogs for some great happy hour options. We loved that strip! You can also walk to St. Charles St. for $.50 oysters at Superior Seafood's Happy Hour. This was a suggestion from Dan who was full of great ideas for us when we met him. He seems very plugged into the music scene. French Quarter is also just a quick 10min drive.

This place has an easy going, friendly vibe. You should be a dog lover since you will probably run into/hear Dan's very sweet dogs at some point. Since they live upstairs there is some coming and going but nothing we were ever disturbed by! And we never heard any noise or people above us from inside the unit. We were able to let our two small dogs out in the fenced front yard to play which worked out well.

This was a great stay for us and we just wish it had been longer! We hope to be back again!

Terrific oasis away from the insanity, but convenient to everything

We had a really wonderful stay at this property. The place is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a great time and the backyard pool and hot tub were a terrific hangout for the whole family. The house is walking distance from Magazine Street with tons of restaurants, shops, and bars. It's also walking distance to St. Charles street where you can catch the street car to the French Quarter. We rented a car and found driving and parking all over the city very easy. Dan is a charming host who will connect you with all the best recommendations. Follow his advice! He suggested an airboat tour of the Bayou, which was an unforgettable and fabulous time. I hope that we will have the chance to get back here again! Thank you Dan!!!

Fantastic Rental!

Love this place! So glad we stayed at Dan's instead of a rental in the French Quarter as we originally intended. Neighborhood is fantastic! Steps from the Garden District and Magazine Street where there are lots of great shops and restaurants, and a great grocery store. The interior of the place is very spacious, comfy and clean, and provides everything you need for a relaxing stay...and the sheets are super soft! The outside backyard and pool area is the heart of the place, and is almost indescribable. Very eclectic and filled with lush greenery, comfy furniture, cool art, and music, we spent most of our time out there and marveled at it every time we stepped into it. Dan, the owner, lives upstairs and is extremely helpful and knowledgable about the city. He made our 3 day stay (two moms and their teenage kids) fun for all. Thanks so much Dan! Hope to come back soon!

Centrally located in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans. 10 minute walk (8 blocks) to St. Charles streetcar line riding to French Quarter, Garden District, Audubon Park. 3 block walk to dozens of bars, restaurants, grocery, shopping and ammenities on Magazine St. 10 blocks from world famous Tipitina's Music club. 3 blocks from bus line to French Quarter and Convention Center (10 min ride). No Car needed when staying here. Excellent location for Mardi Gras as you can walk to all parades!!

This is a NON SMOKING unit. Any guest discovered to be smoking inside unit will immediately forfeit security deposit. Only smoking outside is permitted. Please dispose of butts in garbage can.

Reservation Deposit: A reservation deposit of 50% of total rental rate is required at booking. This must be received within ten (10) days or less of booking the reservation. Your dates are not reserved until I receive your deposit. The remaining 50% is due at least 30 days before arrival. Special Events and Holidays require full payment at time of booking.
