Lovely Setting, Not Far from Crater Lake NP
The back yard of this property is next to a clear creek, with views of a pasture and mountains. So many birds! While the cabin is very close to the road, traffic died down overnight, so it was mostly quiet enough to sleep. This is a comfortable place from which to explore Crater Lake National Park and the Klamath Falls area. We were there during the third week of Sept. and the air was clear--no smoke.
Beautiful and peaceful spot!
We loved our stay here—a beautiful and peaceful location. It was an easy drive to Crater Lake, glad we stayed at this cabin rather than Crater Lake Lodge with hoards of people. Everything was nice and clean and the king bed was very comfortable. I was a bit worried on seeing how close to the road it is, but not much traffic so not a problem—I’d stay there again, and take time to go bird watching next time!
Nice Cabin Near Crater Lake National Park
My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the cabin at Crooked Creek September 8th and 9th! MaryAnna was wonderful to deal with and accommodating with all questions we had. The cabin was clean with a well stocked kitchen. The setting of the cabin is very pretty out back with a view over the creek and meadow and mountains in the background. The cabin does sit very close to the main road and during the day you can hear the cars and trucks going by. That is the only reason we are giving the cabin 4 stars. However, at night the road is very quiet so our sleep was not impacted by traffic at all. Because of all the fires there is no BBQing allowed. Understandable if using a charcoal BBQ, but it would have been nice to have a gas grill available. Again - we did have a very nice stay and the cabin is conveniently located near the entrance to Crater Lake National Park.
Cute cabin on a creek
This is a cute little cabin next to a pretty little creek. It was very convenient for visiting Crater Lake National Park. It is close enough to the highway that you can hear the vehicles though it was not so noisy to be problem.
Loved the setting for the cabin, with the river running by the back door and the great view of the sunsets. We enjoyed watching movies at night and being able to heat up food that we got from the Chiloquin store.
Cabin was perfect for our stay. It's a little bit south of Crater Lake, our destination by about 30-40 minutes. Although the interior is a bit dated, it was very clean and plenty of hot water for showers. We basically just used it to sleep so was not able to use the canoes which would have been fun. It is situated right on a little creek that is crystal clear. Sunsets were stunning viewing from the back deck.
The one thing I would suggest from the owner, is to provide a list of places to go to buy food, groceries or eating establishments and the distance and directions on how to get there. You really are in the middle of nowhere, which can be awesome, but you still need to eat.
