Direct Amazing Ocean Views From This 2 Bedroom Plus Den Florida Keys Home.
This magnificent home with amazing direct ocean views from the master bedroom, living room and balconies is located in Islamorada at Mile Marker 85 in the exclusive gated community of Angler's Reef. Home also overlooks the community pool. Anglers Reef is a quiet oceanfront community in the Florida Keys. Anglers Reef is a boutique complex of 52 homes inspired by Native Conch & British West Indies architecture. Quaint streets & walking paths wind through this village-styled retreat. Amenities include a community pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and 500ft of private beach. The home's boat slip is available for rent with a deep channel out to the Atlantic. Or launch your kayak from the private beach (kayak rentals available for drop-off). Built in 2007, this home has 2 bedrooms located on the 2nd floor, the master bedroom has a private porch with ocean views or lie in your king bed and enjoy the same view. Downstairs porch also has ocean views for morning coffee or cocktails. Second upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds in it. Downstairs den has a day bed Homes decor includes stainless appliances, granite counters, Brazilian wood floors upstairs and downstairs, 3 flat screen TVs with cable including HBO & WiFi.
Islamorada is synonymous with the best fishing - gulf, backcountry or ocean. There are plenty of guides, charters or boat rentals. You can also try for hogfish, snapper, mahi, tuna, bonefish, tarpon, snook, & more. Right at the Anglers Reef docks you can catch mangrove snapper, ladyfish, jack crevalle, moonfish, grunts, mullet & barracuda depending on season. We had one lucky vacationer catch a 70 pound Tuna right off the docks.
For those who don't like fishing there is still a ton to do which is one of the reasons we chose Anglers Reef. The development and the Islamorada area have a lot to do for people who are not into fishing. Just hanging at our home and looking at the gorgeous pool area in the back of the home and the great views of the ocean from our home is enough of a full day for some.
Enjoy our spacious deck with a book or cocktail and the views of the turquoise waters and ocean breeze. Or just walk off the porch and swim in the large community pool (heated in winter and cooled in summer!). And if that's not enough you can take a stroll thru the community or relax on the private beaches or you can launch Kayaks and Paddle boards right off our beaches.
Restaurants: a short 5 minute walk are Hog Heaven, Smugglers Grill and the Island Grill. By car a few miles away are lots of oceanfront or bay front restaurants to eat at. All are amazing. See our recommendation book in the home.
Attractions: Swim with dolphins at Theater of the Sea 1/2 mile south. Founders Park is just a mile north with concerts and lots to do. The Islamorada Chamber of Commerce visitors center is also near the entrance to Founders Park for local info as well as affordable postcards, posters, T-shirts and books.
Grocery & Other Shopping: There are small markets around Islamorada, including the Trading Post two miles south, there is also a Winn Dixie a few minutes north (around Mile Marker 91 in Tavernier, west side of the highway and a Publix a few miles farther north in Key Largo around Mile Marker 101 (east side at a traffic light in a shopping center with a KMart).
Parks in Islamorada, Village of Islands: Just 2 miles north is Islamorada Founders Park at MM 87 Bayside, which offers activity or relaxation for the whole family. An Olympic-sized pool with diving area, a shallow water beach, water sports rentals, ball fields, fishing jetty, bocce, tennis and basketball courts, vita course with 18 exercise stations, multi-purpose path, skate park and dog park all are within the 40-acre park. Fees may apply. Village municipal parks also include the Islamorada Library Beach and Anne’s Beach. There is the Windley Key State Geological Site, a state park, at the site of a former coral rock quarry. In addition to shady walks through unique foliage, fossils of sea creatures can be seen throughout the park. A free guidebook is available at the visitors center for use during your stay in the park. Islamorada also offers an 18-mile bicycle path that extends the length of the Village.
Scuba/Snorkel! : Islamorada, long recognized as the 'Sport Fishing Capital of the World,' is now an icon among sport divers for a similar reason: a massive population of tropical marine life. High profile coral heads and broad ledges shelter huge congregates of French grunt and goat fish, while regal queen angelfish casually graze amid the reef recesses. Friendly green moray eels swim freely along the spur-and-groove channels, and reclusive nurse sharks lurk beneath the overhangs. Islamorada offers a wide variety of shallow coral reefs, mini walls, shipwrecks, and even an underwater habitat for scientific research, the Aquarius. To learn more about Islamorada or any other manner of local lore, stop by the Chamber of Commerce at MM 82.5.
*The Eagle - This 287 ft ship was intentionally sunk in 110 ft of water as a dive attraction, cloaked in sponge & coral, populated by grunt, harpoon & jack. *Davis Reef - Reef revered for its incredible concentration of grunts & schoolmaster snapper, as well as several amiable resident green morays, long accustomed to benign interaction with the dive masters. *Alligator Reef - Now marked by a 136-ft-tall lighthouse, on this spot in 1822 the USS Alligator grounded & sank while protecting a convoy from pirates; remains of the wreck are the twin piles of ballast stones, but the coral reef - in just 25 ft of water - is vibrant and alive. *Conch Wall - Offering a precipitous sloping wall & captivating concentrations of barrel sponge & gorgonia punctuating seafloor. *Crocker Wall - A 450+-foot-long wall in 50 ft of water. The wall has a 30 ft decline and features grunts, yellow tail &grouper with spur-and-groove coral & block coral.
*Pickles Reef - Reef's minutia in 15-25 ft of water.

About Scott Ofstein
We love the Keys! We purchased our first home in Anglers Reef back in 2009 and loved it so much we bought this second home right across the street (HomeAway #326184) My wife and I have 2 girls ages 16 and 13 and they also love the Keys. We all love boating, fishing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, biking and just hanging out at the Keys famous sandbars. Islamorada is an amazing Island and in my opinion the best location in the Florida Keys! You can't go wrong!
Scott Ofstein purchased this House in 2016

This place in Anglers Reef was just perfect for our family. We also rented a fishing boat from A1A and had a wonderful week fishing. Scott is very quick to answer all questions . The boat dock was right out from this great unit. The kitchen had everything we needed to make many of our meals, including 3 meals of fish we caught. The place is like a show house, the rooms are large and the artwork on the walls is beautiful. The porches are a great place to be when it is raining or just to talk about your fishing that day. Our college age boys became pros at driving the boat and we may never go on vacation with them again without having a boat right outside our unit. On the dock there is also a cleaning station to get your fish ready to eat. We also saw many fish right off the dock here.
Thank You Scott for letting us use your amazing house. I think you will be renting from us again.!!!
Serene paradise by the Sea
Our family just returned after spending a week here! The vacation rental was amazing! The location was perfect (ocean views) and the living space was wonderful for our family. You would have never known there was a hurricane last Fall as the property was immaculate including the beach. Scott (owner) was prompt and attentive and the rental had all the extras one would need for a great stay. Will rent here again!
Amazing house, amazing location!
We loved staying at this house. The views of the ocean were amazing! We spent many of our days and nights just relaxing on the back porch. Having the pool and docks right off the porch we’re also great as we were able to see the kids while they were fishing off the docks and hanging at the pool. It was also easy to load the boat for our boating days as the boat slip was right in back of the house. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back to rent from Scott again.
We absolutely adored our week here. The house is great as the back porch looks over the water and the pool. The location could not have been better! We kayaked, fished, scuba dived, snorkeled, ate well and generally let the sun soak in. We wish we didn't have to leave! There are many homes at Angler's Reef, but the set up of #151, the quality of the furniture, the extra daybed downstairs, and the ideal location within the community make it stand out... there is even an extra blow up mattress if you need room for more than 5. The owner, Scott, was quick to respond with any questions.
This was our third year renting from Scott, our second year in #151! We absolutely love staying at Angler's Reef and think Scott is unbelievably attentive and helpful. He even texted us during our stay to let us know about an Art Walk that was going on. The condo is very nice and relaxing. The views are great and the restaurants in the area are delicious. We enjoy it there so much! Looking forward to next year!
Scott did a great job in providing information about restaurants and site seeing
His home was well maintained with very nice amenities
Islamorada is located in the Upper Keys, about halfway between Miami and Key West. Nicknamed the Sport Fishing Capital of the World and known to have the best restaurants in the Keys, there is much to do in, under, above or near the waters surrounding Islamorada. In the water... you can boat, kayak, para sail, jet ski, snorkel, dive or even cruise out to the Alligator Reef Lighthouse or to Barnacle Bobs at the Tiki sandbar for a burger in the middle of the ocean. You can also swim with dolphins, sea lions and sea rays at Theater of the Sea (less than a mile south). Or if you have had enough water, check out the local parks, pampering spas, exclusive shops and a large array of amazing restaurants. Be sure to catch a sunset from the many restaurants or bars along the gulf side. And if it's a full moon, adults may want to head over to Morada Bay & Pierre's for their famous Full Moon Parties, beach parties with bonfires in the sand, specialty drinks and live entertainment (covers apply).
Other Activities: Boating
