The owners have been renting properties since 1980. They bought their first holiday rental at Huntingdon Place in 2003. They enjoy the holiday rental business because you allow us to meet new people all the time. They pride themselves in making a home from home for their guests. Providing the small extras can make such a difference to peoples level of satisfaction. has been in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years in Edinburgh.

Terrific Hospitality

The apartment was very close to everything and came stocked with everything from bread and milk to soap and shampoo. It's as if you're staying at a very nice hotel. Angela did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome. We had a family of four and I would highly recommend this property.

Fantastic!

We stayed for 4 days in Edinburgh and having this amazing place to come home to each day was phenomenal. Angela gave us the lay of the land by telling us the best way to use the apartment as well where we could find grocery shops and taxis that would save us money. She was very cheerful and helpful. The apartment was perfect for the cooking and hanging out we did throughout our stay here. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Best Stay on Trip

We spent five weeks away, staying at six properties, and Gordon & Angela's was the best accommodation overall. Angela was easily contactable and gave good advice re getting from airport to property. She was waiting for us and went through all the relevant info and gave us directions to supermarket etc.

The apartment is in an excellent location, close to restaurants, bus stops and just one street back from Leith Walk. There was no noise from neighbouring properties or traffic as the block is set next to a park and there is no through road. The outlook from every room is very pleasant, it's either the park or the beautifully manicured gardens of the complex.

The apartment is tastefully decorated, was spotlessly clean with loads of space in every room. Good visitor information available. All the appliances worked beautifully (instruction books in cupboard). Angela gave us some much appreciated starter items, milk, bread, butter, shortbread and chocolates plus staple pantry items, olive oil, cling wrap etc. Kitchen is well equipped. The beds were very comfortable with top quality linen.

We can't fault in any way, the whole experience. We strongly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Very comfortable 'home away from home'

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh. Angela was very accommodating and was able to meet us at the apartment despite our flight being several hours late. The apartment was well provisioned, and Angela had provided some basics: coffee/tea/milk/bread/buns/butter which were much appreciated. Our time in Edinburgh (6 nights) was at the end of our stay in Scotland - we had been staying in guest houses, so it was nice to finish off our trip with the room in an apartment. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to go to - although it is a bit of a walk to some of the sights, we enjoyed the walk. The neighbourhood is quiet, so we slept well. It is also nicely situated as there are grocery stores and restaurants in close proximity. We would have no hesitation recommending a stay here - we would certainly stay again if we returned to Edinburgh.
