About the property

Beautifullly maintained apartment surrounded by huge terrace for alfresco dining

This nearly new apartment on the ground floor sleeps 6 /7/8. There is a sofa bed that could cater for the 7th / 8th Person). The apartment is decorated to a high standard with great furnishings. With the apartment being on the ground floor it has a huge U shaped terrace which all bedrooms have access to via patio doors. The terrace is 145msq. So great for alfresco dining with BBQ available. Relax with little ones who are able to play with the added security of no outside access to the patio area, so relax and take in the mallorquin sun. A spacious apartment with 2 x dbl bedrooms one with en suite and a twin bedroom with separate bathroom. The bathroom has an impressive power shower with a seat built in for those less infirm. Wi Fi available also. Son Baulo is the quieter end of Can Picafort great for those wanting to enter the livelier Can Picafort and head back to the quieter side of Son Baulo. The apartment is approximately 50metres from the sea and 150metres to the beach. There are some great bars and restaurants in the Son Baulo area. Supermarkets, post office. All amenities needed.

Market day on Friday a short 40 metres away.

WALKING / TREKKING: Walking/Trekking the north of Mallorca with its vast mountain range is prime walking country. Why not visit Mallorca in Autumn and Spring when the weather is cooler, and ideal for both walking and cycling? Why not walk or cycle around the S'Albufera Nature Park (Alcudia), it is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearic's? The area is a former lagoon separated from the sea by a belt of dunes, which has converted into an extensive flood plain. The Natural Park which stretches across some 1708 hectares of marsh and dune land is a protected conservation region. The area is an internationally protected area for wild birds, and is home to considerable wildlife.

Or right on your door step is the Son Real natural park great for exploring and visiting of the medieval burial ground then walk along the coast to Son Serra de Marina or find those little alcoves for private sunbathing or swimming.

GOLF: GOLF: Golf Alcanada golf course is situated just a short distance from the apartment. Alcanada combines the essential requirements for the creation of a top category golf course, an unrivalled setting and a first rate design. The terrain gently slopes down towards the shoreline, with its pine, olive and oak trees and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background. Alcanada is the only course in Mallorca that is right by the sea and has a spectacular view across the bay of Alcudia. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. and Jnr, the beautiful Alcanada golf course, opened in October 2003. Typical Trent Jones features, like 58 well placed green side fairway bunkers, challenging greens with hidden breaks, and difficult but fair tee shots, already make this golf course a must for all experienced golfers travelling to Mallorca. There is also the golf course in Pollensa and Arta. All only a short drive away.

Son Baulo / Can Picafort: Ca'n Picafort forms part of the Bay of Alcúdia the largest bay on the island. This is also near to the Natural Park S'Albufera. Son Baulo boasts the natural area called Son Real with little small beaches and alcoves for those that like to get away from it all, this beach also leads to the archaeological areas over the rocky terrain and if you carry on walking or swimming you then come across the next village called Son Serra this takes approx 1hour for those slower walkers. In Ca'n Picafort you can find a variety of restaurants, shops and the marina. You have the possibility to practice all types of activities, horse trekking across the beach, tennis, cycling, motor bikes for hire, electric scooters for children/adults, walking, jogging, fitness classes,diving, golf, mountain biking, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, wind-surfing. Also boasting one of the biggest/fastest Go-Karting tracks on the island this can also be found in C'an Picafort.

Wonderful stay

We had a wondelfull time staying in Can Picafort.The apartment was very good and the terrace was very nice and we used it a lot. It was short to go to the beach and also to many good resturants. Meny things to do in this area and we had a wonderful time.

Great outdoor space.

My sister and I are retired ladies and have visited Ca'n Picafort in the past, staying in both hotels and Homeaway apartments.

This apartment is in a very quiet area but is in walking distance of the many bars and restaurants in the main town. There is also a small beach 5 minutes away as well as the other beaches in the main town.

The apartment is very spacious with an excellent outdoor space where you can relax and catch the sun at any time of day. We ate most of our meals outside. The beds are comfortable and there is abundant hot water.

We were disappointed that the furnishings were not as they were portrayed in the Homeaway photos. The dining room furniture was a real mismatch and the tv was awkwardly attached to the wall on a small shelf, not in a unit as per the Homeaway photo. There are no English speaking programmes, mostly German. You will need to bring your own DVDs. In the past we have used filmontv on our iPads but this is no longer free.

Although towels and sheets were provided they were not of a good quality and the other bedding had seen better days.

We had a few other issues with unsuitable and dirty pots and pans, a leaking sink and broken toilet flush but these were quickly dealt with by Debra, the property manager.

Overall we did not feel that we had had value for money in this apartment.

Despite everything we enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful and there are buses every 15 mins towards Alcudia and Pollença, which are both worth a visit. We caught public transport to Palma then did the Citytour, which I would thoroughly recommend.

Debra arranged airport transfers for us at 158 euros return but there is now an airport bus which is very much cheaper.

Owner's Response: The only difference furniture wise in the apartment is the big wall unit. We felt this very old fashioned and taking up a lot of space. The sofas are the same and one of them is the sofa bed, these may look different because we change the sofa covers. The guests were aware of not very many english TV channels as they have holidayed many times and they use their iPad to connect to film on tv. We do not advertise BBC1 or ITV channels as they are no longer available in european countries unless you are connecting illegally or have a satellite dish of 1.7metres. The website also states bring your own DVDs. As the guests state the issues raised like the leak in the sink etc were dealt with promptly. Unfortunately maintenance can happen at any time. A frying pan had been put away by previous guests in a not very nice clean state - we went and brought a new one. We think the price of this apartment for a sleep 6/8 is very competitive.

Einfach perfekt

Ganz nette Nachbarn, super unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe, perfekt funktionierende Klimaanlage die auch wirklich richtig runter kühlt, alles wie auf den Bildern und im Text beschrieben, ruhige Lage, aber dennoch nicht weit vom Strand entfernt.

Wir sind zwar nur zu dritt dort gewesen, aber auch zu sechst wäre es vollkommen ok.

Vormieter haben schon allerlei Dinge (Luftmatratze, Sonnenschirm, Toilettenpapier, Spülmittel, Kaffee und dergleichen) dort gelassen. Daher muss man sich nicht komplett neu einrichten.

Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder dorthin fahren.

A fabulous home from home

We stayed at the apartment for 5 nights and it was spacious, clean, well maintained and equipped. The air conditioning and WiFi included in the price were definitely added bonuses. The cleaning costs were also included, so no hidden extras to pay for. The description and pictures were an accurate representation of the property. It's in a quiet area which is within easy reach of shops, restaurants, bars and the beach at Son Baulo. From start to finish the customer service was excellent, and Debora and Juan were very helpful with everything. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends. Thank you for the smooth, hassle free, relaxing stay.

Mi estadía en el apartamento St. Louisa

la semana pasada he estado una semana en este apartamento con otras 6 personas más, la verdad es que el apartamento es muy acogedor, y cómodo ya que además de sus comodidades, cada habitación tiene una salida independiente a la terraza. Aconsejo que alquilen este apartamento ya que tanto las instalaciones como el trato de la persona encargada del mismo, han sido muy correctos.

Nice family home

The apartment has everything you need, including a very good airconditioning system and with a fantastic big terrace around the house. The apartment was clean, and the service and total customer service was perfect. The location is quiet and a nice mix between local people and some hotels around the house. If you want more toerist entertainment you can walk to the centre of Can Picafort (10-15 min. walk) and if you want nice more quiet and better restaurants or beachbars you walk 100 mtrs to the sea or 5 minutes to the Port. From the terrace you can see the sea. The sand beach is a 5 min. walk and is nice also for little childern. If you want to see more of the surroundings you can hire a car or a bike around the corner.

Son Baulo is the quieter residential side of Can Picafort with its own bay surrounded by the beautiful woodlands and lake of Son Real natural park, great for exploring and visiting the medieval burial ground which is just a short walk away from the beach area. You could if you feel energetic carry on along the shore line where you will find lots of little hidden areas to take in the sun, sea and rest a while, carry on for approx 40 minute and you will arrive at Son Serra de Marina a lovely little fishing village again with a beautiful beach and bars to quench your thirst..(If you fancy this but not walking, there are horses for hire) Can Picafort also has its own beach this reaches right round to the Port of Alcudia & offers lots of water sports. Can Picafort and Son Baulo have a great car free promenade to walk up and down safely. There are some great bars and restaurants to choose from. Large supermarket, post office, banks available.Local bus service and transfer bus to the local train station.

Other Activities: Gymnasium available nearby, tennis courts available. Table tennis on the property. near to the apartment
