Budget 2 double bedroom home nestled near the sintra mountains and its beaches

This affordable property is located in private grounds with off street parking, garden, plunge pool & BBQ offering holidaymakers with the utmost privacy and comfort during their stay. The property offers guests the chance to char-grilled fresh Portuguese meats or fish from the nearby butchers and also a fish market.

Enjoy evenings of Al fresco dining with family or friends with a cool drink, or laze around the private plunge pool located at the property. The home itself offers 2 double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, and a baby/toddler room equipped with a travel cot. The living room seats up to 4 persons, and has an adjacent dining area. The property has a small shower room with W/C, and wash basin. It has a fully fitted kitchen area with a small table and two chairs. The conservatory area overlooks the garden and can be used to dine at any time of the day or night.

Sintra & Colares: The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra, 5 km away, is one of the most charming towns in the world, full of mysticism and stories of kings and princesses. Visit the Moorish Castle, the Palace of Vila, the Pena Palace, the Palace of Seteais, Palace of Monserrate, Quinta da Regaleira, various museums and botanical gardens. Explore the paths and roads of it´s stunning mountains. Enjoy numerous restaurants, tea houses, cafes, terraces, souvenir stores and try some of the typical regional cakes and pastries, not to be missed the infamous 'Travesseiros da Piriquita'. Colares is located just 6 kms away, and is a quiet village where you can visit it´s typical wineries & take a trip on the 100-year-old tram to Sintra. Cabo da Roca, 8 km from the property, is famed for being the most westerly land point of mainland Europe, with a vertiginous 140-foot cliff and spectacular panoramic views out across to the Atlantic Ocean.

Cascais & Estoril only a short drive away (20 minutes) to gorgeous calm beaches.

Local beaches: Praia das Maçãs, 3.5 km away, is a fine sandy beach with several bars and seafood restaurants. You can also enjoy an enormous salt water pool, with showers, changing rooms, tennis courts, playground and night club. Small market for fruit, vegetables and fresh fish. Take the kids on the hundred-year-old tram ride to Sintra.

Praia Grande, 4 km away, is a long sandy beach with slightly choppy seas, making it ideal for surfing, body boarding, long boarding and sky surfing with several schools. Several restaurants, bars and terraces.

Azenhas do Mar, 2 km away, is a small village situated in a picturesque valley, with its white washed houses built on a north-facing slope, is one of the most beautiful beaches, with swimming pools dug into the rock. The viewing point of Azenhas do Mar is built on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Praia da Adraga, 3.5 km away, named by the Sunday Times as one of the 20 most beautiful in Europe. Its cliffs are a perfect marriage between the mountains & sea.

How to get to the property: Most worldwide airlines offer direct flights into LIsbon Airport. The property is roughly 30km from the airport, if you wish to prebook our Personal airport transfer service, one of our drivers will be waiting for you and your party at the airport terminal. Price of transport for 3-4 people with reasonably sized luggage in a private minivan to this destination is currently available. Sehr hübsches Grundstück mit Ferienhaus und Pool

Das Ferienhaus und das Grundstück liegen in ruhiger Lage neben einem Pinienwald. Die Einfahrt ist mit einem automatischen Schiebetor gesichert.

Der Garten ist wunderhübsch angelegt, der Pool war das Lieblingsobjekt unserer 10 Jährigen Tochter. Unter dem Dach zwischen Pool und Haus ist ein gemauerter Grill mit einem Spülbecken untergebracht. Das Ferienhaus hat alles was man benötigt. Es war sauber und die Reinigungskräfte, die zwischendurch das Haus gereinigt und die Betten neu bezogen haben, haben ganze Arbeit geleistet. In dem kleinen Glasanbau vor dem Haus haben wir täglich unsere Mahlzeiten eingenommen. Es ist dort geschützt und sehr schön zu sitzen.

Ketan und Sandra sind sehr nette Personen. Sie haben sich in allen Angelegenheiten und bei Fragen auch bezüglich auf anstehende Events sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Danke hier an der Stelle noch einmal an die beiden.

Wir werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen, die Ruhe, die schöne Gegend und das Meer genießen.

Da Portugal so etwas wie unsere zweite Heimat ist, war das Ferienhaus für uns genau das Richtige Ferienobjekt.

Close to Sintra and the coast.

Property as listed; very clean and well maintained.

Very comfortable and plenty of space.

Agent (DoneandDusted) provided excellent and helpful service.

We strongly recommend the property.

It is in the country - car essential - next to a garden centre and very quiet. Easy access to Sintra, the mountains and the coast.

Plenty of restaurants and a mini-market in Janas, within a few minutes car journey.

Moorish Castle and Pena Palace visible on the skyline from the garden.

We considered staying in Sintra but are very glad we didn't - too crowded, busy, heavy traffic and parking difficult.

Great Holiday at a Great Property!

We stayed at this property in sept/oct 2009. It was a brilliant holiday, in a beautiful location. The property its self was lovely, it had everything you needed, we found it just as it looks in the pictures. The gardens were beautiful and the views were amazing. Also the pool was a big hit with our 10 year old, as were the sun loungers with me! You do need a car if you stay at this property as it is in a rural location although the village is in walking distance, where you will find two well stocked mini supermarkets, and two restaurants although only one was open while we were there, the one that was open also offers a take away service (the pizzas were amazing and great value!) The whole area was lovely, nearby Sintra was beautiful and full of history We took our son to the toy museum there and we were well impressed, we enjoyed it as much as he did. Nearby beach is also great with loads of lovely restaurants to choose from. We also drove the long way back from cascais to the property along the coast and the views were amazing. The main reason for our holiday there was to go to the moto gp in estoril, so the property is a great base for that, once you know how to get there the property is about a 20 min drive to the track. As for Ketan, well what can we say! He was brilliant! He met us in a nearby village when we were on our way to the property, as we got lost and was always contactable when we had a problem or we needed to know how to get somewhere. The property is extremely well looked after and well managed by Ketan and Sandra. We would definately stay there again and have already recommended it to afew of our friends and family.

UNA PROPIEDAD ESTUPENDA PARA PASAR LAS VACACIONES

Un sitio estupendo para pasar unas vacaciones inolvidables. Una propiedad a la que no le falta de nada, tiene una estupenda barbacoa, una piscina estupenda (donde podrás tomar el sol y darte un bañito) y una casita prefabricada que es muy confortable y tiene todo lo necesario para pasar las vacaciones. Es exactamente como se ve por Internet.

Esta muy limpia y Sandra y Keitan están pendientes de cualquier cosa que puedas necesitar, aunque nosotros no tuvimos ningún problema durante el tiempo que estuvimos alli. Son muy amables y te orientan en cualquier cosa que te pueda surgir antes de contratar la propiedad y una vez que estas alli.

Situada muy cerca de Sintra, en pleno parque natural y muy cerca de un montón de sitios para ver (Lisboa, Sintra, Cascais, Estoril, Mafra, Queluz, etc). Muy cerca también de la costa, donde se puede disfrutar de las playas y de paisajes escarpados increíbles.

Esta en el pueblo de Janas, un pueblo pequeñito en el que podrás encontrar cualquier cosa que precises durante tu estancia.

Se la recomendamos a todo el mundo, tanto si quieren disfrutar del entorno como si quieren relajarse y descansar. Un lugar ideal para escapar del calor agobiante del verano, ya que aunque durante el día hace más calor por las noches refresca bastante y se puede dormir muy bien. A nosotros nos ha gustado mucho y seguro que repetiremos pronto.

GENIAL !

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette location.

L’accueil fut excellent et surtout le guidage vers la location car il est vrai que nous nous sommes un peu perdu en arrivant donc un conseil sur votre GPS sélectionnez : Capela de São Mamede de Janas et la rue de l’accès est juste en face ...

Tout était au top : propreté, installation, linge, commodité tout est conforme et au top comme annoncé sur l'annonce.

Nous étions effectivement prêts des plages et de Lisbonne ou nous avons passons de superbe après-midi.

Un foire était présente à 500 mètres de la location ou nous pouvions y aller pour manger et écouter des groupes de musique locaux. Mais rassurez-vous une fois les fenêtres (très bien isolées) fermés nous n'entendions presque rien et à 2 heures du matin tout est fini.

Dans le petit village de Janas vous pouvez trouver un petit café ou vous pouvez y prendre le petit-déjeuner sans problèmes : accueil, sourire et super prix ... Il y a aussi une "churascaria" ou vous pouvez prendre a emporter de quoi manger le soir ou midi en toute simplicité.

Il y a aussi un petit supermarché, coiffeur etc ...

Bref, tout était au top et exactement comme annoncé.

Encore merci à Sandra et à son mari pour ces vacances.

petite location très agréable, bien équipée, spacieuse et au calme, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour

commerces très pratiques dans la petite ville proche, on peut même facilement y aller à pied pour les sportifs ..
