Guestbook comments from the owner

Good Afternoon Ted and Andrea,

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you again for your assistance both

before and during our stay. The house was wonderful and it is in a very

enjoyable location. The sleeping arrangements were great as were the

seating options for the meals. Plenty of space in the home and the sunroom

was nice. We enjoyed being close to Omena, Sutton's Bay, and Northport and

relatively close to TC, Leland, and Glen Arbor. The canoes, kayaks,

flotation devices, firepit, outside games, and bikes were all very helpful

to have. I don't think we used the ping pong table or the televisions

(although there was screen time via the computer and the wifi). On

Saturday morning I made the effort to get out to the dock for the full

sunrise and mother nature did not disappoint. The information and maps

that you provided were very helpful as well.

Thanks again for helping with making this an enjoyable vacation.

Sincerely,

William

Perfect summer vacation

  • 5 of 5

I'd be hard pressed to come up with anything that could have improved my stay. First of all Ted and Andrea are fantastically hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The house exceptionally clean and well maintained. Literally, it is stocked with everything you'll need ....large kitchen and eating area....3 season room was great for morning coffee....kayaks and canoes were great fun....the grill was great for cooking and fire pit was perfect for evening s'mores and beverages.

I especially like the location. The house is far enough away from the congestion of TC. There was very little traffic so that walks or bike rides were made easy. Most of the watercraft I saw were either sailboats or kayaks....no loud boats or wave runners. There is plenty of peace and quiet.

If you're looking to get off the grid and kick back with family or friends, you'll be really happy with the Lodge at Omena Point. Thanks Ted and Andrea !!!

Wonderful home in a wonderful location - Omena/Northport, MI

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Omena/Northport, Michigan in July of 2017 was outstanding. The home and location were perfect for our daily family adventures. The waterfront property, dunes, shopping, and wineries kept our family busy and entertained. The home was exceptionally clean and well kept. The owner was great to work with and responsive to any questions we had.

If you're looking for family fun and adventure, this property is perfect. Plenty of room to explore the Lake Michigan Bay Shore, and close to many beautiful little towns to shop, eat, and learn the great history of this lush area. Sleepy Bear Dunes has countless trails and "movement" opportunities.

Thank you Ted and Andrea,

The Nesbit Family

Beautiful scenery, clean and plenty of space!

  • 5 of 5

Our family vacation included our 3 children, spouses and 4 grandchildren from PA, NM and MI. It was our best vacation to date. The house was great with lots of space and activities for all. We loved the canoes, kayaks and the crystal clear water. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved the kayak. Time was spent at the home and at other points of interest. Everyone agreed that we would return to this location. Carol B

Beautiful, Clean, and Amentities for Everyone!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had such a lovely time at The Lodge at Omena Point. Ted and Andrea are so friendly, kind, and accommodating to every need. The place was immaculate, which is something that means so much to our family. We came from Texas, Florida and Ohio to celebrate our parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary, and there was something for everybody to do. Sitting on one of the two porches just reading, relaxing on the dock, shopping at the quaint surrounding areas, and even taking multiple trips into Traverse City for the Cherry Festival and dining. We had three children the ages of 5 & 6, up to 80 year old parents, and this place is perfect for all. The owners let us use the kayaks and canoes, and our family even rented a boat for water skiing and tubing for two days. The marina is not far, and we were able to take the boat via the lake right to the house and dock it! Only a 20 minute boat ride to the marina rentals! The house also had lawn games, swim shoes, and other items that were useful to all. Thank you Ted and Andrea for sharing your lake home, and we hope to come back and visit again!

Great Family Vacation Place

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home from a weeks stay at this amazing house. We were a family of 3 generations and the house, lawn, lake and locations were great for all of us. There is so much to do in the area and at the house. The owners are very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The house had kayaks, canoes and plenty of lawn games for the kids to play. One of our favorites was the fire pit which we used to roast hot dogs and marshmallows on more than 1 occasion. We had a great time no one was ready to leave and we would love to return someday!!!

Great Vacation Home & Location - we had a fabulous time!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family get together at this vacation home (3 generations) and the home worked wonderfully for 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 7 to 14) and there was plenty of space to spare. There was much to do at the house and at the water (kayaks and flotation devices were big hits with the kids). The location was great and proximate to Sutton's Bay, Northport, and attractions in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise as I prepared for an early morning bicyle ride. Owners were very helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We had a great time!

Lodge on Omena Point is a great four season vacation spot. Summer at its best and the Autumn colors are spectacular. Enjoy the Sleeping Bear Dunes national lake shore voted most beautiful place in USA. Stroll the unique village's of Suttons Bay and the specialty shops in Leland's Fish Town, along with Northport, all just minutes away. If you enjoy golfing, it is a golfers paradise.
