Week at Toltec Point
Pros: Lake was great for swimming and kayaking, especially for kids. Gas grill worked well and was used often. Plenty of a/c on first floor. Enough kitchen utensils, plates and glassware. (Could use more plastic storage bowls).
Beds and bedding were fine.
Cons: Transporting kayaks up and down stairs was difficult.
A/C on first floor does not prevent loft area from becoming extremely hot, even with windows and skylights open.
Nothing was stated prior to our visit about row boat, floats or fishing rods. (We fixed two rods, although they were missing parts.
We did not use the row boat.
Water pressure in kitchen sink is very weak. This is frustrating in light of the fact that there is no dishwasher and cleaning is done by hand. The pressure of the bathroom sink and shower are OK.
The interior of the house was clean, but the deck and window sills were in need of cleaning. Many of the screens were covered with spider webs. (We did clean these)
Overall, we had a nice week. The weather was a gift.
Great place for R&R!!!
We loved the location and the house was impeccably clean. The pictures on the site are outdated. The house much to our surprise has new furniture and two extra beds which weren't pictured. The location was very quiet and minimal boats pass by since property is at the end of the bay. Natural Retreats was great to work with in planning our vacation. We had a problem with the Water Pump during our stay and they had someone out within an hour fixing the problem.
