Large private villa with great views

Bedrooms 4
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 5 - 7 nights

Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday villa in Oristano province

Large modern villa with 2 hydro spa's, set in a peaceful olive grove

The property is designed as a large spacious 4 bedroomed Villa. The villa has 2 bedrooms, double & twin, both with on-suites on the first floor & a lounge leading out onto expansive sun terrace overlooking the valley with stunning views across the valley to the sea. On the ground floor there are 2 further twin bedrooms with shared bathroom and spacious dinning/kitchen. There are both internal & external stairs to the first floor. For winter weeks the house is heated with a wood burner in the first floor lounge.

The main sun terrace is paved in the classic local Bosa stone and offers an extensive area for sun bathing and relaxing with the separate lower spa terrace and BBQ with good range of furniture.

Last summer an outside cooking/bar was added to the BBQ area, which has 4 burner gas hob, single drainer sink and fridge with a large tiled top for outside eating ad drinking.

Set on the edge of Magomadas village, in almost a hectare of olive grove and with a lovely view over open countryside down to the sea, our well designed and equipped villa makes a lovely spot for a tranquil holiday. While being secluded you are still only a few minutes drive from the coast and from the old town of Bosa. our newly built, villa is set in a hill in a tranquil olive grove. On the edge of Magomadas village, it is possible to walk to the nearest bar and restaurant but still have a feeling of seclusion. There is ample outdoor space, large terraces to both the first and ground floors, to take advantage of the wonderful views including some spectacular sunsets. There is outdoor lighting and BBQ plus a Spa/Hot tub on both the ground floor patio and first floor veranda. The drive from the road winds through some of the olive grove to the rear of the property where there is ample parking. The whole property is spacious and is finished and furnished to a high standard.

If you look for a spacious villa in a very quiet surrounding, with a stunning view from a vast terrace equipped with relaxing hot tubs, this is the place to be. It is only a short drive to the beach, we liked the one at Porto Alabe. The villa is well equipped, clean and tidy and there are helpful written hints all over the place to make life easier! We especially found the "green folder" extremely helpful, wich gives you info on about anything you might wish to know for your stay. Must have been a lot of work to compile that (let alone the exhaustive testing of the restaurants...). Also the support by David and Gillian is brilliant - and taste their wines, they are worth it!

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday in the spacious and spectacularly situated Villa Olivetto. We holidayed with our 4 adult children and everyone agreed it was one of our most restful and stress free holidays. Plenty of very helpful and informative information was provided by the owners prior to our arrival and the booking process very straightforward. We were stunned on our arrival by the situation of the house- down a private road in a quiet and expansive olive grove, with a huge and breathtaking view across a valley of olive groves and vineyards towards the sea from the two wide terraces at the front of the house. We spent many of our evenings on the terrace, round the outdoor kitchen or in the jacuzzi watching the sun go down- bliss! The house itself was spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything one might need, including many thoughtful extras such as cool boxes and beach umbrella for trips to the beach, games and DVD and a wonderful outdoor kitchen which so inspired my son that he did virtually all the cooking - an added bonus! We loved the jacuzzis, one warm for enjoying in the evenings and a cold one for cooling off in the day and both with a view second to none! There were also a plentiful supply of recliners and outdoor tables and chairs so one could always choose the best spot for sun and shade. There was also welcome AC in the upstairs bedrooms which made for good nights sleep, though it might have been nice to have in the ground floor rooms as well. Ours was primarily a beach holiday and each day we found a beaches with different attractions within short driving distance- sandy coves, long expansive beaches and rocky beaches, good for snorkelling. There is obviously lots to do in the surrounding area and we barely scratched the surface! Again, the owner had provided a very helpful folder describing local beaches and attractions as well as a very comprehensive list of local eateries which made enticing reading. Though we tended to eat in mostly , buying fresh fish, fruit, vegetables and cheeses from the supermarkets and Tuesday market in Bosa, we did enjoy a great welcome and wonderful pizzas at the recommended Angelino's restaurant. Bosa town is well worth a visit, as is the view from the castle on top of the hill- lots of great photographic moments! Though we were holidaying in July, we found the area surprisingly uncrowded. For a quiet, relaxing holiday in great hillside retreat, this villa ticks all the boxes!

Five minutes drive out of Bosa you will find the hill top village of Magomadas. The houses are built on the edge of a hill and there are some marvellous views of expansive countryside down to the sea. The village is quiet and typical of the area. Inhabited almost totally by locals, here you will find yourself immersed in village life. The area around the village is agricultural with many vineyards and olive groves.

Two of the best reasons for paying a visit to this village is Trattoria Da Riccordo, one of the places to eat in the area, and almost opposite the restaurant is a Cantina, where you can try the local Malvasia wine, amongst others, of course trying a few before you buy. There is also a museum hidden away in the narrow backstreet dedicated to the history of local wine production, it's traditions and methods.
