We stayed here in the summer of 2015. We had great communication with Pierre for the whole of our journey from Scotland and he was waiting to guide us in for our rather late arrival.
Pierre was extremely helpful in settling us in and gave us loads of useful information to help us during our stay. We stayed during a heatwave and the house with its shutters and tiled floor was lovely and cool.
There are lots of great things to do in the surrounding area and travel to Disneyland and Paris is easy and straightforward. A visit to the market in Coulommiers was a highlight, as was a trip to the medieval town of Provins. Closer to the gite, there are some lovely walks round the quiet village lanes.
Pierre was a great host - phoning a couple of times during the week to check that we were OK and giving us advice and suggestions for things to do. We cannot recommend him or his home highly enough (and we regret not posting this review much sooner) and would love to come back in the future.

We stayed here from 27/12/2015 to 3/1/2016 and we had an amazing time. The cottage is gorgeous and very well equipped with everything you will need. The owner Pierre couldn't have been more helpful. We got lost several times ( not a very good Sat Nav )trying to find the cottage so was nearly 2 hours late arriving and he waited for us and was very welcoming when we arrived. It took us 20 mins to get to Disneyland as we went the long way round to avoid the toll.Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that you stay in this cottage as it was the best one we have stayed in while visiting Disney and we go twice a year.
Although difficult to find, was worth the effort. Very spacious, clean and good facilities. Ideal base for Disney with some lovely surrounding areas. Thanks to the owner for making us feel so welcome, even though we did arrive a little late!
I stayed here fore a week this summer with my two children and a teenager. It was a lovely place - great location, not too far from anything and yet incredibly rural and quiet! The neighbours were mainly French with one other holiday house very nearby, and all were friendly but not interfering!
The house itself is small, cool and very sweet, with a decent quality shower and comfortable beds. The kitchen only has two hob rings, a combi microwave and a fridge, which somewhat limited our meals, and although there was cutlery, glasses, utensils, etc, it was a little limited.
The owner was wonderful! Immediately on arrival he showed us a map of the area and made suggestions of the sorts of things we could do, where we may want to go and where we may not want to waste our time. His advice and that map shaped our whole week!
Some useful pieces of info are: a) the house is on a tiny lane by UK standards - not even properly tarmacked, so don't hesitate if your Sat Nav sends you that way! b) Crecy la Chappelle had a lovely Italian restaurant on the corner of the road to a great supermarket, try them! c) if you go to Paris/Euro Disney, park in the Val d'Europe car park and go from there by train - reasonable train prices and free parking. However, DON'T believe anyone who tells you the car park shuts when the shopping centre does - it doesn't!! d) Everywhere we went people could speak English but were clearly touched by our attempts to speak French, so give it a go!!
Overall a fantastic holiday, which was enhanced by staying in a sweet house owned by a friendly, helpful and efficient man. I would very much like to return one day!
Beau gite possedant une ame. Nous y avons passé un bon moment et pres de Disney pour les enfants.
Excellent acceuil et Pierre informe bien.
Nous y reviendrons
This cottage had great charm and was clean and well equipped. Perfectly located for a short drive to Disney and Paris. Bbq was great and stunning surroundings. Garden was large and was well maintained, which made it perfect after returning from a long day in Disney to relax in the warm evening sun.
The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, giving lots of advice and information for the surrounding area. One great money saving tip given by Pierre was to park at the large shopping complex Val D'Europe and catch a train as parking was free and trains were cheap. This gave us a massive saving as the parking at Disney was 15 Euros per day! Thanks Pierre.
Bedrooms were excellent in size with plenty of storage. Cottage had a great french feel to it, which is exactly what we wanted. Neighbours were friendly and helpful and spoke a little English which was great. We will certainly be returning to this part of France again and we will most definately choose to stay at this cottage in the future. Sofa was a little small, however it was a sofa bed, therefore could usefull with a larger group wanting to stay. As we spent most of our days site seeing, this was never a problem for us. We look forward to our return visit and would like to thank Pierre for letting us stay in his beautifull home. Many Thanks, Tracey, Zoe, Kath and Alexis (aged 5)
