Steve Sheridan purchased this house in 2011
We have traveled the Florida panhandle since children, and fell in love with Cape San Blas because it is one of the last relatively undeveloped coastal areas- No high rises and very un-crowded beaches. This home is in an exclusive community on the north part of the cape, offering crystal clear water.
You might just be the only people on the beach for hundreds of yards either direction.
We had a great stay in your rental home. We felt really at home and very comfortable. Your home is really very well equipped and the views were wonderful - even with the storm that had pass through the first couple of days. I thought I had lost my wallet and had to report to the local police department because of the new secure drivers licenses procedures - the sheriff actually helped me locate it in my CAR!! Just thought I mentioned in case your neighbors were wondering :0
Very nice house. All As described. Clean and up to date furnishings. Good communication with owner.
This is a beautiful and well equipped beach home. It had everything we needed and plenty of room. A view of the beach from the back decks was enjoyable for those morning cups of coffee or evening cocktail. The walk to the uncrowded beach is very short. The beach itself has white fine sand and the water is extremely clear. There are several great restaurants just a short drive away. Our only complaint was the unreliable Wi-Fi which wasn't always working. Be prepared to use your cell phone as a hot-spot connection.
We just finished a week at this wonderful house. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 adults and a baby. The home is exactly what is shown in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed and cookware was good quality. We ate most meals on the upper deck, and played games inside on the large dining table. Beds were comfortable and linens were fine. The beach sits behind protective dunes and is spectacular, with a wide swath of white sand and gentle waves, perfect for kids. Most days we were 100 feet from the next nearest group. There is a pool that is shared by all the homes in the development. Most days we were the only ones swimming. One comment, the wifi worked but had a weak signal. We were able to access it on laptops but not phones or iPads. This was our first visit to the Cape and we would definitely rent this home again on a future trip.
We really enjoyed our recent visit to Cape San Blas. It was our first time staying on the actual cape. This house served its purpose for the most part, giving us a great view, a short walk to the beach and also to the pool. We were in walking distance to a few places which made it very nice and we were able to take advantage of the bike path as well. If I were to return to Cape San Blas I would consider renting this house again if the owner had a better cleaning service and all new bath towels, kitchen towels, etc..., because the existing ones smelled of mildew.
Just wanted to give a quick review as we just got back from 8 nights in this house. The house was as good as advertised and everything we needed. We just wanted to thank the owner for his quick response to a couple of problems we had. The air conditioner broke while we were there and he quickly had someone out to look at it, even though it was a holiday. He even had a new gas grill delivered when the tank was missing on the old grill.
The pool was never crowded even though most if not all of the other houses were occupied. We also felt like we had the beach to ourselves as it is nice and wide. Highly recommend the house to anyone looking for a great beach getaway.
This house and the beach in its front yard provide everything you could want in a fun and relaxing getaway. The house is plenty big with two decks with a gorgeous view facing the beach; perfect for mixing a few drinks while watching the sunset. Speaking of the beach, you can roll out of bed and be on the sand in less than 5 minutes – no wasting time driving to and fro. The beach is very peaceful with only a few other groups in sight. We were there in November and it was still warm enough to dip in the water but what were really memorable were the dolphin sightings not far off the coast.
We made a few trips to Port St. Joe to grab fresh fish to bring back to the house and we also really liked hiking and exploring the dunes at the state park. The house had everything we needed with a great living room on the top floor, updated kitchen appliances and grill, and with the beach out front, there weren’t many reasons we needed to leave. Cannot wait to go back!
